RE: Tow Haul Mode

I leave it in tow/haul in my 2011 3500. It does every once in a while downshift a little aggressively, but you can just feather the gas a tiny bit and it won't downshift. Or use the cruise if it is a straight road with no traffic. I do the same with mine

RE: Fifth Wheel "airbag" kingpins

RE: Coast of Oregon

Don't really know. We're going to be leaving one of our stops Crater Lake, then heading to the coast. Open to suggestions.

RE: Huntsville, AL to Buccaneer State Park, Mississippi

Follow the signs off Hwy 607/90 (Exit 2) to the Silver Slipper Casino (Lakeshore Rd.). When you get to the gulf turn left.

RE: Which 5th wheel hitch

I have a Pullrite in my 3500 Mega. The Pullrite and Demco operate on the same principal. Go with an auto slider and never have to think about hitting your cab. I see a lot of dented cabs and broken back glass in my travels with the manual sliders. Guess people get lazy and say " I got this" and then "Boom"

RE: Use Caution in Mississippi

I may be mistaken but I seem to remember there is a sign warning on that crossing.

RE: Ashville RV Parks and CG.

The area gets pretty popular during that time of the year, so early reservations is a must. Momma Gerties upper section is real nice. Last year we stayed at Mountain Stream in Marion NC. Nice place but the road to the campground is not for the faint of heart.

RE: Is this really the only 5th wheel hitch option?

You can buy a Pullrite hitch on line for about $1000 cheaper. Then you have to add the rails and installation. But the money for an auto slider is well worth piece of mind.
