RE: Needles Highway Black Hills South Dakota

Took that bus tour a few years back. Good as the bus drivers are the busses have their scuffs and dents.

RE: Canton Texas CG for Trade Days

Mill Creek Ranch RV Resort is a really nice place. A little higher price than some of the others. A short distance from the trade days grounds and they provide a continuous shuttle back and forth. But it may be hard to get in on that short notice as they really book up for those weekends. X2

RE: Pullrite Super Glide? or Reese manual?

Newer trailers have cut back front corners which give more room for turns. I have the pullrite on my rig and I never worry about hitting my trailer, cut back corners or not. What is the price of never having to worry about hitting....

RE: Dodge cummins 5.9 or 6.7 ?

I had both, an '07 with the 5.9 and now an '11 with the 6.7 none DEF. Never had a problem with the '07 but the soot it put out under load. After many mile pulling my trailer through the mountains the side of my trailer was covered in soot and some made it's way into the trailer from the slide. Got about 13 mpg towing. However.....The 2011 is another animal...The creature comforts, there is no comparison. Not to mention the 6 spd. tranny and the exhaust brake. It gets about 11 mpg. towing. Runs real clean and puts out no soot at all. I have no plans to delete anything as long as there is no problems and under warranty.

RE: Replacing Old Faucet ?

I changed my faucet in my trailer recently. Used an electric drill and screw bit and took apart the shelving under the sink. Was able to get my chunky self under the sink with no problems. Bought a faucet from Lowes and a few adapters because RV plumbing is different then a house. The faucet was a lot nicer and cheaper price then RV style. Put shelving back together and all is good.

RE: Tannehill State Park in AL.

That's about right, we usually go through there in October. That pretty much answers my question, thanks.

Tannehill State Park in AL.

Just wondering what's the trick to get a spot in Tannehill Hill State Park? We break up our trip to the Smokies in two days. Have tried year after year to get a spot in the park for an overnight, but it's always booked up. Of course you can't make reservations.

RE: Place to leave a trailer in NOLA

We have done this in the past...We just left our trailer at the campsite. Campground doesn't care if you are sleeping or out elsewhere as long as you have paid for the site... But, as always, call the campground and ask just to be sure. X2

RE: Inside step failure in Keystone Avalanche

Keystone has no quality control. "(Insert every RV manufacturer name here) has no quality control." Lyle X2 We have a Forest River/Prime Time Crusader and have put things back together from day one. The dealers/service departments leaves a lot to be desired on their quality also.

RE: Campground suggestions near Mount Washington, NH

We stayed at the KOA near there. The sites were set up kind of funny, back to back. There was a pool and a game room, not a bad campground. Close to the mountains.

RE: Itasca Minnesota

WE stayed at the Bemidji KOA. Clean campground with full hookups. Not far from Lake Itasca. Campgrounds in park are not full hookups but are nice.

Prime Time Crusader

Just finish going a round with Prime Time about the faded brown front cap on my trailer. It seems they know there is a problem with the caps because they are now painting them on their new trailers They are also paying to paint trailers that are less then two years old. I asked since they knew of the problem with all their brown caps on old and new why not fix original owners too. I was told my trailer is too old (2012). Now that what I call taking care of your customers. Needless to say I'm not very happy with Prime Time. They'll have you to believe that they are a step above the others but in fact they are no better then the next guy. If anyone should ask me about buying a Prime Time product I would say look at the other guy.

RE: Grand Design

I understand about the dealer service, that's why I asked about the quality of the Grand Design. The dealer here does not have the best service department. Would hope I would never have to deal with them.

RE: prime time

I have a 2012 320RLT, had lots of little problems when first bought it. Their support was helpful but the dealer leaves a lot to be desired. The brown front cap is faded white and I wax it regularly so there is no excuse for Prime Time. It's in the shop right now for brake problems but as I said the dealer...... Would I buy another, not really. I'm looking at new 5er's now and not at Crusaders. Just hope the nasty looking front cap doesn't hurt the resale. X2 on the forum, lots of post from me.

Grand Design

Looking at buying a new 5th wheel around the first of the year. Grand Design has caught my eye. Let me hear from the Grand Design owners about the good and bad. Not interested in other brands right now.
