RE: Canadians buying RV lots in Florida

We stay in an ownership park in Crystal River Fl. We rent from an owner who has a number of lots for investment. Lot prices are way down right now but seem to have stabilized.
Talked to a realtor that handles lots here and I guess getting financing can be tough, banks do not want to handle lots with the real estate market so bad in Fl.Some motivated lot sellers will do some kind of financing to strong buyers.
I would suggest renting from owner for a season to make sure park is what you want long term.
We are at Nature Coast Landings in Crystal River.
Good luck in your search.

RE: Snow, snow, snow.......

Heading out in the am, hoping to get to central Va tomorrow on i81. The snow today was just a reminder that spending the $ to go south is well worth it.

RE: My Take On FL

Going back to Nature Coast Landings for our fifth yr. Spotless, well run resort with a ton of great people. We do have some of the no-seeums at dawn and dusk but no big deal.
Area is rural but short trip to Dunnellen or Ocala for anything you could want.
Rent is under 500 from park and cheaper from lot owners. I pay less than 2200 a yr and leave my rig on site and use it whenever we want, just pay my own elec.
In our five yrs we have had no problem with locals or anyone else, most times you reap what you sow. Mostly mid-westerners therr but a few of us new englanders and some Canadians.
Come down and enjoy, Florida is what you make it.

RE: Everyone down south already?

We rent our site from owners at NCL in Crystal River. Quite a few owners here are selling and buying houses. I have been following listings in gated communities in Ocala and it is getting awful tempting.

Good quality TT`s

Looking for quality built travel trailer. Past three units have been entry level Newmars and have had great luck with them.Construction was good, furniture and fabrics stand up well, nice counters and cabinets.
Getting to the point that I can`t do the stairs very well and looking for a quality TT to finish out our camping days but havn`t been impressed with some of the units I`ve seen.
Depending on your experiences and appreciate any input you might have.

RE: Do you have a towable trailer that you do not tow?

Been doing that for two yrs. Traded MH for 36' fiver, had it towed to lot we rent and we travel to Fl in Honda Accord saving hundreds on fuel alone. No tv to buy, set-up and maintain. Until we buy a permanent place in Fl this is the way to go for us.
