RE: Transmission oil/filter change--how much to pay

Asking for price "reality check" without posting your Dexron 3 or Transynd decision is almost meaningless.
And, as others have said, an easy job if you have an inch-lb torque wrench.
Brett, I just checked my new filter kit and it says to torque to 38-45 lb.ft.

RE: STARTING PROBLEMS, ELECTRICAL

Jim, remove the panel below the dash on the passenger side and check the 2 large black solenoids, they supply power for the 12 volt system, I would suspect one of them or a bad ignition switch, for more help go to the Foretravel group.

RE: HELP - Im stranded!

As is, where is, there is why.
I was always told that is is better to keep one's mouth shut and appear ignorant than to open it and remove all doubt.
I was always told to put brain in gear before putting tongue in motion, in this case it would be a finger.

RE: Engine serial #, 330 Cummins

On top of the front cover near the injection pump.tag also has the CPL#, write them both down, you will need both # to get the correct
parts if you need any.

RE: Another Service Nightmare: Long essay

Now I know why I do as much of my service as I can, I bought 2 drain valve kits yesterday, when I was there I asked how much for them to do the job the parts cost me $12.50, they said the whole job would be the parts and 4 hours at $125.per hr. I did the job in 2 hours and 2 cups of coffee.

RE: 330 ISC Cummins Question - What's This?

It is the inspection hole, if you get oil out it is the crank seal that is leaking, if you tranny fluid it is the front tranny seal leak.
