RE: Born Free Owners .....

I own a 2011 Born Free. They have 3 steel tubular Roll Bars built in. The one in the middle can interfere with height of a person. It is 6'1" off floor.

RE: Great Deal on RV ladder - No More Rack

I order a simialr 12 1/2 foot ladder that looks exactly the same.. a month or two back of EBAY, for 70 bucks. Plus it had free shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/EN131-Std-12-5Ft-Aluminum-Telescopic-Telescoping-Ladder-Extension-Extend-Loft-/311051712370?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item486c207772

RE: Born Free Owners .....

I have a 2011 Born Free. 13000 miles. I have babied this MH, but has developed cracks in the gel coat of the fiberglass sides. I would stay away from BF. I am very disappointed.

Entry Door Window, how do I get privacy at night?

Any suggestions on how I add privacy.... like a curtain, shades, blinds, louvers, etc. My MH has a curtain with 3 snaps that hangs down from the inside wall, in front of the entry door window. And is very awkward going in and out of door, since this curtain is always hanging in front of me. Does anybody make a entry door window with blinds between 2 panes of glass? Electric operated? Any and all other ideas appreciated. Thanks..

RE: Replacement blinds

Neat. Thanks for the idea. Any plans for the window in your door? I am looking for something for my window in my door. Maybe I will use the same thing?

RE: Bend, Oregon.... where to stay?

Thanks... We stopped by Sisters Garden because of your post. What a neat place we will be staying there next visit to Bend. Next we drove thru Sisters Oregon. Whats with the BACKWARD parallel parking on the street? How strange looking. Thanks everybody for all the comments.

RE: Bend, Oregon.... where to stay?

thanks everyone. We are current at the LaPine State Park. Not bad campsite. Next to river and was only $26 full hookup. Pretty full, but still has open spots. We want to check out the Thousand Trails in Sunriver, since we have a chance to buy a used membership. And we are thinking about staying at Crown Villa in Bend tonight. Anything in the city of Bend to see or shop? We will be going to Costco. Plus...Will have to check out those other recommended place to visit, recommended by you all.

RE: Dry camping with a trailer

Think about getting one Solar Panel. Just use is as a portable. Check out Home Depot/ Grape Solar. 105 watt for about 140 bucks shipped + a 20-30 dollar Controller. A few wires and your good to go.

RE: Can make unscrewing black tank cap easier?

I use silicon grease. Go to Oreilly Auto, only 3 bucks.. I am sure it will work. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/VER0/15309/N0941.oap?ck=Search_N0941_-1_-1&pt=N0941&ppt=C0139

RE: What do you think of Porta-Bote?

Thanks for the i link on the folobot. That may be an option. dewey...thanks for more info and the pics. Very informative. Most likely I will be buying a newer bote, thanks for pointing out that it folds to 7 inches thick as opposed to the 4 inches thick for older models. I think just that fact would be a negative, regarding putting it on the side of the MH. Which leads to my original idea of mounting on the rear ladder. Thanks again for all your info/ input.

RE: What do you think of Porta-Bote?

Thanks everybody for more input. I am OP. I have pretty much made up my mind to try one. Either new or maybe something on craigs. dewey... I wanted to see your pics, but pics would not open unless I joined the Jayco Forum. Michael... thanks for the input/ review. I will be prepared if I order one. Glad you are happy with the bote. Regarding how I was going to carry the bote on my Class C, I was thinking of ordering the 10 foot one, actually 10 1/2 feet. I was thinking of carrying vertically, on my rear ladder. Making a special bracket I could hang from the ladder. A little bit of the bote, below the rear bumper and the remainder sticking up above the roof. How does this idea sound to you all? Input appreciated.. A second option would be to carry it on the roof.... guess I could load it OK? Or, carry it on the side of my MH would be OK too. My Class C is fiberglass w/ gelcoat/ and very strong sidewalls. Thanks again to you all..

RE: What do you think of Porta-Bote?

Thanks. I can carry all that stuff in the OH Bed of my Class C. Good to hear you can't sink it. Wonder how long the "seams/joints" lasts, unfolding and folding? Do they show any signs of weakening or wearing out?

RE: What do you think of Porta-Bote?

Thanks. Think I am going to try one out. The Company is sending me info in the mail. So besides carrying the folded boat, I need to count on making room for the seats.

RE: What do you think of Porta-Bote?

So it not hard to unfold and fold up? A couple of people told me it was? That is my second option, looking at inflatables. Thanks.

What do you think of Porta-Bote?

I was thinking of buying one of these folding boats, to carry on my Class C. I have heard pluses and minuses? Maybe Hard to unfold and fold up? So.... any comments appreciated. A 12 footer is about $2100 including shipping... on sale. I have a Coleman Canoe, 12 feet, but figured too hard to carry and get on top of roof of my Class C. How do you carry your boat/ canoe/ kayack? Thanks..
