RE: Brands with fiberglass roofs?

Born Free Class C has a Fiberglass Roof. Plus the roof has 3 tubular steel roll bars that go all the way down to the floor. I own a 2011 Born Free. My roof is "strong as hell" when I walk around on it.

Whats a good Pistol to buy?

Nothing fancy. But a good brand. Something to carry in my Motorhome when I travel. To carry out in the open, not concealed. Like a 38 or 40 cal. A revolver/ double action/ external hammer.... for example. I know nothing about guns. I am in CA. Any recommendations/ and all comments are welcomed. Thanks

RE: Revcon 250 - first time purchase: good idea?

According to the craigslist ad... price is $9500 for a 1972, which to me ain't no bargin. Says it has 25k miles, but does not say if that is original or is 125K? May not be bad if that is original.

RE: Revcon 250 - first time purchase: good idea?

Not sure I would want a front wheel drive? It was great back in its hayday, but not sure about now. If it was me I would stay with rear wheel drive RV. Just my 2 cents.

RE: Tires from Costco or Sam's

I am member of Costco for many years. I buy all my tires from them. Every month they have a coupon book and $70 off tires. One month Michelins, and the next month Bridgestones. I got tires for my Class C from them. Nitrogen fill and free checks.

How can a GS Park not give my 10% off for extended stay?

This Good Sam Park has a special... Pay for 6 nites and get the 7th nite for free. But they will not honor the Good Sam rate reflecting the 10% off. They charge the regular rate and give you a free nite. Is this legal? Thanks

RE: Where to stay abound Bakersfield, CA off I 5 ?

We are spending 2 nites here at the Bakersfield RV resort thanks to you all. 41 dollars a nite w/ good sam. Nice new park. NO picnic tables at each site, which was a negative to me. RV parking was on compacted sand. Wish it was concrete. Tracking sand all over. Heated pool. Kinda windy, so did not try pool out. Looks nice. Today is xmas day, so restaurant and front desk are closed. Costco real close by, so easy to gas up and shop.

RE: Need a RV place in East Bay, San Francisco

Thanks every one. Thanks to Travier !! We ended up staying at the Marin RV Park in the North Bay. 2140 Redwood Hwy., Greenbrae, CA Spent 3 nites here. Not a super great park, but OK. Clean and well maintained. Fairly open spots between RVs. But....GREAT LOCATION. 10 minute walk to Larkspur Ferry. $5 senior rate boat ride to SF wharf, was lots of fun. Walk to shopping, eating, etc from campground. $64 a nite w/ good sam. Nice lady at front desk for 21 years. Highly recommend you try it out at least once. Great way to explore SF. Drive to Napa, etc. Costco close by. Walk to Trader Joes. Two buck Chuck... :D 10 miles to Golden Gate.

Need a RV place in East Bay, San Francisco

Where is a good, safe place to stay. Will be driving down I 80. Close to the Bay Bridge? Or any other place? My wife is driving into San Francisco down town one day. Going to the Xmas Fair at the Cow Palace the next day. Any other suggestions? A big thanks.... Steve. We have a 24 foot class C. PS...Isn't there a County Fair Ground RV parking somewhere?

RE: Southern Oregon rest areas

There is a OR State rest spot past Klamath Falls on Hwy 97 in Midland,OR on the left. You can stay there. The privately owned RV spot in Dorris, CA is pretty old and junky.
