RE: Tail lights not working on Bounder

hi mikey,
welcome to the forum. i think i would start with the wiring.....now if your tow dolly is not hooked up, do the lights work then? that way you will know where to go, the dolly or the motor home.

RE: Fleetwood Bounder Transfer Switch

yes he needs to see what the voltage is AT the transfer switch. remember it has to see the voltage to switch from shore to genset. BUT it does not have to "switch" with shore power as it is the default in the transfer sw.

RE: Looking for quick help on Atwood furnace

the limit sw, or more correctly the HIGH limit sw, is located at the back of the furnace and is held in place with 2 screws. once they start cutting off, therafter they cut off easier n easier. i agree with the corrosion comment, have fixed many many of em just by cleaning contacts. hope ya stay warm!

RE: Furnace blowing fuses

its dc, not ac, with gas doin the work. if this is the 1st time you have used it, the nest thing is probable. if you have used this frunace much, it is most likely bearings in the motor was it making noise when it tried to run before?

RE: Converter Question

have you checked your water in your batteries? that aside, it sounds like your converter is going south. you will need a meter to check the voltage, it should be 13.5 or so.

RE: One-Piece Windshield

get some black np-1 and caulk it. np 1 is available at any roofing supply place, and forms a hard rubber seal. the other alternative would be to have the windsheild taken out and reinstalled correctly, w/o the leak.

RE: Sur-Flo Smart Sensor 5.7 Pump Leak

its usually the lil rubber diaphram that seperates the water from the pressure switch. easier to replace the thing, but somebody may have an old one laying around that ya could scavenge one off of. i usually save those till i have a bad pump n swap it out so i have a good used pump.

RE: Update Onan NHM ?

you don't want to run it while you are checking it on ohms, or resistance, it'll blow your fuse.

RE: Suburban Furnace Installation?

1. locate near the center of the rv, not on one end.
2. the return air is broughtin on the right side and the top of the furnace, when looked at from the INSIDE of the rv. these MUST NOT be blocked, restricted! the bottom may sit on the floor. the left side may be close to a wall, but some space should be there, say 1/2 inch or so. good luck

RE: Remove Battery Caps While Charging

worked in an exide battery plant here back in the mid 90's, had a few explode while being charged....ya don't wanna be in the same room with em when they do.
they don't put the caps on em when they initialy charge them at the factory, for whatever that is worth....of course they dump the acid out and refill em with a different specific gravety acid for the final shipment to the stores.
