RE: Squeak between chassis and house
Can't help but notice that the whole thread is OPs from the Far North with their rough roads.
I have been on roads in Phoenix, Tucson and Vegas that are rougher than a lot of the roads in the "Far North"
Road from Edmonton to Yellowknife is better than I+95. Crossing the 49th does not take you back to the early 1900's. We even have overpasses high enough for motorhomes to get under, :B
RE: Squeak between chassis and house
Check the rubber mounts between the chassis and the house, they often get dust filled and dry out a bit. Spray them with a spray lubricant such as Jig-A-Loo and the squeak should go away.
RE: Poor design medicine cabinet - anybody upgrade?
We have a matching wooden one in the MH but still had the same problem. Had some left over venetian blind slats from a blind install in the S&B that almost matched. Glued them across the bottom edge and the sides of each shelf, Problem solved and they were thin enough that they did not interfere with closing the cabinet door.
RE: Oil Change Viscosity Mistake
Oops sorry..:S
Lets see how can we communicate ?
Phone.. no they listen:h
Mail.. no they read it:h
In person.. no they bug us:h
Email... no they read it:h
Oh the hell with it when we are all in jail together we will work out something :B
RE: Oil Change Viscosity Mistake
With multi viscosity oils they are at the lower viscosity when starting (or cold) but once your engine has reached operating temperature they run at the higher viscosity. The 30 oil will not cause any damage in the California climate.
If you don't believe it... google "multi viscosity oil"
RE: Camping Dog Bed?
Try a carpet store. They usually have ends left over from custom home jobs and could cut you a piece to fit.
Might even let the dog pick his colour and grade of carpet. :B
RE: What do you tie your awnings down with?
Instead of spikes I bought four cheap 14" screw drivers and cut off the flat blade (could not find long Phillips) drive them in at an angle through the awning patio feet. Handles make them easy to get out and if you set your angles right the handles are close to the awning feet and do not stick out.
RE: Engine Cover (dog house) Removal
Mine requires a hex wrench (about 3/16) inserted in the hole at the bottom back end of the doghouse to unlock the hold down clasp.
RE: The road ate my cable ;-(
Use a screen door spring with one end attached at the connector and the other end to your propane tank hold down or some where similar. Keeps cord of the road and still allows for turns.
RE: Slideouts and jacks not working
As some of you may recall I just went through a similar situation with my levelers. Received contact with azpete a member of this forum who is with HWH and is a travelling tech. He knows the systems inside out. He contacted me via PM so I was able to work back and forth. Not sure how to PM someone without a thread but I am sure some one will be able to tell you. Also if you go to hwhcorp.com you can find trouble shooting and system manuals. Takes a bit of searching in their site and you have to know your HWH system and chassis type.
RE: HWH kevelers
Not much help, but I am having the same problem with my 99 Winnie Chieftain on the F53 chassis so if you don't mind I will hitch on with you.
