RE: High Idle Control - May Have Found It

My F250 6.0 already had the wiring for this. Just had to find them and connect with a switch. I had four factory switches (option) that were not in use so the upgrade was a piece of cake. Google for instructions and pictures (also some videos) on the modification. Robert Huntington Beach, California Same here...took me longer to get under the dash than it did it to connect the wires.

RE: Clicking sound from 05 Chev 6.0

..... My first guess is the AC clutch/compressor is engaging. A AC clutch will make that click each time it cycles. If it is that and its cycling that often its probably low on Freon. Try turning off the AC system, heater and all and see if you still hear it. X2

RE: First new Travel Trailer

Your list so far sounds great. You can save some $$ by installing the electric jack and vent covers yourself. They are very easy to do. Good luck with your deal and please post pics !!!

RE: What do you forget to do?

I alway's forget to pee. I get everything cleaned up, closed up, buttoned up, latched up, hitched up, buckled up, brakes checked, lights checked, GPS programmed, gauges checked, and then wham-o. It hits me. I gotta go.:R Gettin old stinks!!!:( Happy camping!! See y'all down the road!!!:) X3 and yes, I have driven over the BAL chocks once. :R

RE: Tailgate issues on truck.

Sorry for the theft - thieves need to spend some serious time in jail. What I wonder is how did a couple of wires dent a steel panel below the tail gate? probably when they tried to jerk the tailgate and it flew back into the truck body. I am sorry to hear of the OP's misfortune. I also like the ideas shared on how to deter these thefts (worm clamp, drift pin).

RE: Smoke Alarm question

Possibly for connection to another alarm so that when one sounds, they all sound ? Wouldnt make sense in a trailer though...

RE: price of diesel

...... Its amazing that with Hurricane Sandy shutting down refinerys made little impact on prices in the East, yet here in CA if one refinery has a hiccup the prices jump with in the hour:h Indeed...I have wondered about that very same thing...in the past, when a tropical storm even hinted it was heading to the east coast, prices climbed...maybe because of Nov 6th but still, very strange.

RE: which airbags and why?

Air-Lift on mine. I put a set of Firestone's on a friends Excursion... both went on easy and have lasted well.

RE: Black Tank Flush Hose Question

Two hoses used the same way you have listed. I do have a spare of each for those campsites that are a lil long from the spigot.
