my 16 yr old.

Good morning. Please keep our girl in your prayers. We found out last Friday she has leukemia. She is just completing her first week of chemo. I;m amazed how well she looks. All is doing well. Last Friday she had cancer cells in her spine. This Friday she has none in her spine. Yeah!!!!! But we still have 6 months of treatment. Please say a little prayer for her. God is already starting to give us a victory. Thanks and bless yall! Mike

RE: how to pick a kayak

Man a jet powered kayak never knew they made one of those. I appreciate the information on the brands. that gives me something to look at. A couple of guys I work with have the wilderness systems and other has a native watercraft. I just hated to shell out the money for a native watercraft. But I would like to try one before I bought to see if I like it. I just have to find a dealer. Thanks for the info Mike

how to pick a kayak

I am interested in getting a kayak. Always wanted a canoe but many people at work suggested a recreational kayak. What brands features do I need to look for? Need it big boy rated and am interested in local creeks and would like to use when I go to the beach. Like to do some fishing. Even thought of 2 people rated if I can coax my wife in it. Any good brands out there that wont break the bank? thanks Mike

RE: How to build a Jayco

Nice to see how they are built. I think mine was started on Monday and finished on Friday about 5 minutes before quitting time.. Still like it though. I didnt know that the amish worked in factories like that. I use to live close to a menonite community and purchased items from them. Interesting. Thanks for the link. Mike

RE: Walking on the roof

I have been on mine. It has 3/8th inch plywood. I took my shoes off, found a heavy blanket and did what I needed to do. You could use a blanket and put a piece of wood on top of it to better distribute the weight. mike

RE: Propane rip off

Sounds like another way for modern convenience to screw us out of a dollar. The poor gas companies are hurting and trying to save money by taking advantage of the public.. I have mine filled to heck with the exchange. Only used them to exchange my old bottles in to get new style... Anyhow 80% to allow for expansion on those hot summer days.

RE: Replace China Marathons Now!!!!!!!!!!

Use to work for Goodyear. They love their China plant because of their cheap labor. I use Goodyear products but only from north america. Saw and heard many problems from their China plant. Stick with USA and Canada products. Mike

RE: Norcold or Dometic?

I would prefer norcold. With 21 yrs of service how could you go wrong? That is one reason I purchased the camper I have Norcold frige and colman a/c. In my past experience with dometic never seemed the fridge or a/c was ever quite cool enough or preforming up to expectation. My fathers old camper 87 or 89 model is dometic fridge caught fire, they was out and campground neighbors got in and put out fire. Was small got new fridge and cedar lined closet. Go with norcold. RE: Gasoline Mileage

I average about 9 mpg towing in 3rd gear. And I burn 87 octane. I tried to baby the truck on one of my trips and unlucky me saw no real difference in gas mileage. So now I just cruise at 60 to 65. Enjoy your new camper. Mike

RE: Thanks Topsail was awesome

Yes I did see your truck parked at your camper. Walked by it a few mornings. Was you in the 37 lot or so line? Anyhow nice rig don't remember the camper much to busy looking at the truck. We was on 66 Really enjoyed it. Glad I checked it out. Just seems like a week isn't long enough. Use to come to Memphis some we lived in Union City for 8 years. Anyhow sorry we missed you. Been thinking about putting Trailerlife.com sticker on our trailer. Mike

RE: Gas or Electric Water Heater

Well did you make a deal??? I to wouldnt let a gas water heater change my mind. I don't know about fuel economy but they heat quick. The electric heats hot and you use campgrounds electricity. Mine is either and is dsi. But one day I fear that the electronics is going to screw up. Sometimes simple is better. Lets us know what you buy.
