RE: Please drive safely

Sorry for venting. I guess since working part time at Walmart the things you see just make me shake my head. Tonight I went too the stock car races. The parking lot was pretty empty as I was heading back too my truck after the races. I saw this car coming so I waited for the car too pass by. The driver was looking at his phone and texting while he was driving. Sorry for posting I just wanted too make people aware of the things I see while working at Walmart.

Please drive safely

In WalMart parking lots.. Me and the rest of the stockman who bring the carts back to the store appreciate it. Since I work at Walmart part time this is what I have seen so far. People speeding through the parking lot. People not yielding to customers when there leaving or coming into the store where they have yield in front of the store entrances. This week while working I saw a women and a child almost get hit by a guy who did not yield too them when these two were leaving the store Sorry for complaining. I just want everyone to arrive safe and get home safe.

RE: What did we do wrong

My 3 girls had to help around the house. All 3 of my girls are at home. My 22 year old is getting married August 2015. My 19 year old is a sophmore in college. My 18 year old just started tech college. I don't charge them rent. My folks never charged me rent for living at home as long as I helped out while living at home. All 3 of my girls have summer jobs. My middle one works for a radio station during the summer but does not get many hours. We have been after my middle one to find another job so she can pay for her college. She's been home for 6 weeks now and she's finally within the last week started to look for another job. In two months she goes back too school. Sometimes we have too get after our girls to keep there rooms clean. Yes I am too blame by buying them most of the things they needed in there life. I felt like there schooling should come first. My girls did have babysitting jobs while growing up. As a father I felt like it's my duty and responsibility to provide for them. Now that there growing up I look back and hope and pray I raised them right. I will always wished I spent more time with them.

RE: Our local Wal-Mart was hiring

I am thinking about my future and I am hoping to do this one day. Sell our 4 bedroom house and downsize. I would like to be able to camp during the summer months. In the winter maybe find an apartment or doing this. I have been thinking about moving somewhere south in the U.S. I know if you work for Walmart you can transfer and work at another Walmart.

RE: What did we do wrong

I am wondering if there are other people out there that are seeing the same thing that I am seeing. Do we have too many reality tv shows out there where if I win I make a quick buck and be set for the rest of my life?

What did we do wrong

In raising our kids? I hear from different people that this younger generation does not want to work. What would cause our younger generation not want to work? I raised 3 girls along with my wife. I see it in my 3 daughters. My 22 year old is getting better. My 19 year old and 18 year old still need motivation to do stuff. Have we as a society slacked off on teaching our kids a work ethic?

RE: I have a question for everyone

I want to thank everyone for there replies. The reason why I would work when I am retired would be for some fun money and spending money. My future son in law moved back to Wisconsin after living 10 years in Atlanta, GA. by his dad. My future son in law is looking at moving back to Atlanta, Ga. My middle daughter after she gets done with college is looking at moving too Nashville, TN. My youngest daughter may move to live by her middle sister. My wife and I are just waiting for doors too open to see what the next stage of our life will be. The next stage of our life will be empty nester's.
