RE: South Carolina to Montana

How about a better start city and stop location. I would avoid I-94 because of st Paul Minn. Streets/Trips has me going from a general SC location to Billings via I-90. I have traveled that and cannot think of a really bad spot.

RE: Favorite Crockpot recipe

Not a recipe but good. Put a turkiey breast in the pot upside down (breast down)and sprinkle with fresh hurbs rosemary, sage and poultry seasoning and let cook. It will make it's own broth and is really juicy. Low for eight hours. "Turkey can be replaced with many chicken breast with bones and skin. LOeftovers make great chicken noodle soup.
"Another":
Round steak, italian tomatoes canned, peppers (red/green), onion, real garlic chopped and cook until done, about eight hours on low.

RE: Does anyone have any good bologna (baloney) recipes?

My DW takes a chub of bologna and grinds it in the food processor along with relish, mustard and mayo....instant sandwich spread. Very tasty.
Do that but use the ring style bologna.

RE: I tell you true

I have a 100 and it's the best grill I've had. I put foil over the grill, turn it on high and as soon as the smoke stops the grill is burned clean. No more brushing and cleaning with compounds. Cooks great!!

RE: 400 ISL Transmission fluid in Coolant?

I don't see how transmismission fluid could get into the radiator. The two should not be connected at any time. I think someone is giving you the breeze. I have a side mounted 400 ISL and just looked and cannot see a connection from Radiator to trans.

RE: buying a 2004 Monaco Diplomat

23k on a diesel?? Not a problem. Have it checked out by a pro before buying. Monaco keeps records on all coaches sold, check with them to see if there was any factory repairs done.

RE: Slide out Awnings sagging

One of the ends has a screw type catch that can be removed and the awning can be adjusted to tighter. Be careful, if you loosen the end with it being free to roll, the spring will unroll all the way and you have to start over. Best have someone that is knowledgeable do it the first time while you watch.

RE: Downsizing to a C

Op doesn't say why they are considering downsizing...If it for $$ reasons it will take many, many miles just to break even.
We are reducing the monthly payment to put towards the S/B. When you have a payment in excess of 2k and you need to put $$ towards the S/B downsizing is the solution. In addition, DW wants another bass boat. $$ have to come from someplace.

RE: Downsizing to a C

I understand that if buying a new class C diesel, you have 2 choices.
- a Sprinter chassis (limited in length & load)
- a Super C chassis (a very heavy duty real truck)
The Ford E350/E450 no longer offers a diesel option according to their build-your-E350/E450 website HERE.
I do not believe that Chevy/GM offers a diesel for their 3500/4500 cut-away.
Your profile says "Full Timing". If that is so, why scale down? I think you've got the right rig for full timing.
we are full time now but will purchase a stick/brick in the spring and raise chickens and veggie garden. The C will be used for local camping trips and fun trips to see ????
