Canyon Land areas of Utah

Just checking for opinions of others to get a good idea about best times to visit the canyon land areas of southern Utah. We plan on touring the areas during the 1st couple of weeks during May. Do not plan on doing much hiking just doing the tourist thing. Will there be lots of visitors during this time frame. Will temperatures be on the cool side. Everything be open, etc.

Monument valley and southern Utah information

I am planning a trip in May to tour south east Utah and the Monument Valley area. We would like to set up camp near a location where we can drive to see all of the parks and then into Monument Valley. We then plan on going to the Grand Canyon south rim and stay a day or two there. Then up to the north rim stay a day then on up to Utah and tour the parks north of Kanab. Any suggestions on where to stay in south east Utah?

RE: Newby generator-ac issue

I had the same problem with my generator the other day. I did voltage checks on generator out put and checked the ac circuits to see if there was a problem and nothing was wrong with the system. I then hooked everything up and ran my Yamaha 3000iseb (with boost) again on high idle and the system work well. I have ran the ac in the econo mode and it has worked well most of the time. I assume that at times, elevation can effect the operation of generator.
So in summary you may need to run the generator in the high idle mode.

RE: AC Unit causes generator to go into overload

Hooked up the AC unit to my house electricity and the unit runs and cools. However it will slow down and acts like it is going to stop working. I shut it down and started it again and it does the same thing.
Any suggestions?

AC Unit causes generator to go into overload

Started running the AC unit the other day and it ran fine. After about five minutes it started to draw all of the power. I shut down the AC and the one light that was on returned to normal. Checked the generator and the overload light was flashing. The AC is a Mach 15 Plus 15,000 BTU series 8000 unit. The AC acted like it was going to start kick in again and it stalled out.
Any suggestions as to where I should start looking such as the high & low pressure switches?
Also a couple of years ago I had a repair dealer clean and do some work on the AC unit and he told be that it was a throw away unit. Is that a true statement.
Thanks
