Don't these long dip stick tubes have a tendency to pick up dirt which ends up on the stick? i think you were right. they couldn't find anything wrong. what a relief. thanks for the replies.

i didn't try that. it is at the shop now they cant get at it till Wednesday. i was just wondering what to except.went to the garage just now and they still haven't got to it, they are short of help. said it would be Monday. i will let you know when i find something out.
transmission trouble
i have a 07 daybreak on a ford f53 chassis with a v10 i found little black particles on the transmission dip stick. does anyone know what the problem could be.? thanks.
