a third measurement is the bed opening...the tailgate opening on late model trucks is around 60". this was my issue on my '87 pilgrim on my '03 chevy

Looks like fun, I hope to do the same with my son this summer although he's 23... I miss taking the kids camping when they were little. You are creating lifetime memories.
