RE: 2013 Cruiser RV Radiance

I haven't had any issues with my Viewfinder V-28BHSS. We love the floorplan and so far haven't seen any quality problems with our unit. My brother just bought a Radiance R-28BHSS and his seems just as well built as mine, although he's missing a few of the higher model options that came with mine. The only issue he had on his first trip out was that the water heater wouldn't fire on electric only. I found the issue pretty quickly, they forgot to wire the hot leg in to the circuit breaker. That should have been found by the dealer at PDI, but I guess they missed it.

RE: Wholesale RV Club contact

I've dealt with Matt. He seems like a good guy, always quick to respond to all my questions and never really pushy. I never had a chance to meet him in person though, he wasn't working the weekend I visited the dealership.

RE: looking to upgrade from hybrid to hard sided for room...

We have a floor plan we love and a model we love, the Viewfinder 28bhss. have done some research on cruiser RV because I had not heard much of them, but it seem solid from what i read. And there are some pretty good youtube videos on their factory. Big thing we wand to know is that if people out there have models similar with older children and how it works for them. Or if they wish they went another direction.
We have a 2013 Viewfinder V28BHSS and love it. The floor plan works perfect for us and the quality of the trailer has been great so far. There is so much storage space in this trailer and we really liked the double bunks. We've had two adults in the lower and two kids in the upper and everyone was comfortable. My brother liked ours so much, he went out and bought a Radiance R28BHSS which is a twin to the V28BHSS, but a little less expensive. If you have any questions about the trailer, I'd be happy to help.

RE: Just found a super easy way to take the black streaks off

Washed the trailer today,, had some black streaks that didn't wash off, grabbed a microfiber rag,,, sprayed some lemon pledge on it,, wiped over the black,, poof,, all gone,, I have metal siding on my trailer, but tried some on the trim around the windows.. came right off there too..Didn't want to use anything harsh, and take the wax off,, Not sure if this has been posted before,, but spring is here and camping season is too,, so didn't think it would hurt to post it.
Thanks for the tip! Im going to try it. I know she needs a good bath!
I Use Pledge Multi-Surface and a micro fiber cloth around the house for the flat screens as well as dusting. Wonder if that will work just as well as the plain old Pledge. :h
One way to find out I guess!
I tried the Pledge Multi-surface cleaner last night on some black streaks and it didn't work well. I guess you need the regular Pledge. I did end up using some turtle wax spray on bug/tar remover that worked excellent.

RE: wholesale rv club

quote=65ShelbyCobra quote=Buck62 quote=FishinghatNo, don't know anything about a wholesale RV club selling RVs. As for underpricing a dealer, most experienced RVers have found discounts from so called "List Price" of 30% or more off from dealers, so keep that in mind. quote
--------------------
These sellers have no service department, no large sales staff, no sales manager and no actual store so they have almost zero overhead just people taking orders on the phone. .quote
-------------------------------
Buck62, not true...Look up Colerain Rv in Cinncinati. That is Wholsale RV Club...It's a full service dealer.Sorry to bring up and ol thread but I'm thinking of buying from them and did a little research.quote
=========================
I don't think so---
Colerain has the following:
Our new RV service facility consists of 15 service bays and 17 factory trained and RVIA/RVDA certified technicians. Including two 40,000 lb. chassis lifts. We can handle all your RV repairs in Cincinnati or Dayton Ohio.........
Wholesale RV Club has NONE of that. No service at all. You must take it to a Authorized dealer somewhere for warranty service.
You may be confusing Wholesale RV Club with RV Wholesalers. Two different companies.
Be careful folks....
Sorry Bill, you are wrong... I have personally dealt with and visited Wholesale RV Club and they are in fact Colerain RV in Cincinnati, OH.

RE: Lippert in wall slide system valuable info

I can't believe the shop guy at the dealer said you'd have to cut interior walls to move the slide manually. I don't understand how some of these people get their jobs. People like that are the reason I never take my vehicles or camper to a dealer for simple repairs or maintenance.

RE: Jack digital tv antena

I haven't used one yet, but I've heard good things about the antenna. I currently have a Jensen omni-directional antenna on my new trailer and that pile of junk doesn't pick up "jack" for stations. I'll be changing it out to a Jack antenna in the spring. My plan is to use the Jack antenna with the Sensar Pro amplifier this year, I've heard that is a good combination.

RE: Help ! anyone ever experance this with their RV Lap seam

Upload your pictures to a photo hosting site such as photobucket and then use the post picture button on this site to enter the picture URL. I'd like to see your pictures to see exactly what you're talking about.
I also have a 2012 Viewfinder I bought this summer. It's been through numerous downpours and no issues so far, but I would like know what I should keep an eye in the future.

RE: are these problems with our hybrid bunk? photos posted

bunk does not lay out level- is slanted up, canvas bunching near bottom at opening- more on one side
http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/s452/jks73/ff696ed1.jpg width=640
This is the first problem you need to solve. You can't possibly sleep on this bed the way it's slanted. When you get the door to lay flat, your saggy tent fabric should also resolve itself. You need to figure out why the cables aren't allowing the door to fully extend. Its possible that the mounts were installed in the wrong location or (more likely) the wrong length cables were used for that door (could be the reason the previous owners never used that bed). Both doors should definitely lay flat though.

RE: new photos hybrid bunk bump at hinge

from inside:

That is by design, however, you are missing the "filler cushion" that should be on that little ledge that will keep your mattress level. My 2011 Palomino hybrid was the same way for both the front and rear beds. You can see the filler cushion under the mattress in this pic of my bed:

RE: Jayco White Hawk 28dsbh

We were looking at that WhiteHawk model too. I got quotes from RVdirect and another wholesaler in Indiana that was 5 minutes from Jayco. I was quoted just over $20k for a 28DSBH w/elect. awning, 15k A/C, power tongue and hide-a-bed option. It was a great price, but we ended up going with a CruiserRV Viewfinder 28BHSS (same floorplan). The Whitehawk was nice, but the entry doors are shorter than standard and I hit my head almost everytime I went out the dang thing (I'm only 5'10"). Also, the ceiling seemed a bit low. The Viewfinder we went with has a nice high, domed ceiling.

RE: Double bunk bed layouts

We too looked at all the campers with the double bed bunk layout. The two I ended up narrowing my choices down to were the Jayco Whitehawk 28DSBH and the Viewfinder 28BHSS.
After comparing the two (mulitple times), we decided on the Viewfinder.....snip
Nice choice! I'm drooling, thats one of my all time favorite TT's and floorplans, I really wanted this one when we were looking around but the additinal weight (compared to our capabilities) and availbility out here excluded it. I really liked last years model with the sleek "frame less" windows and the full height glass in the main enrty door.
Thanks! You can still get the frameless windows and glass main entry door, it's part of the "Signature Series" package this year. I was already at the top of my budget though and couldn't justify the extra $3k for that option.

After comparing the two (mulitple times), we decided on the Viewfinder. If you go check out the Whitehawk, pay close attention to the entry door heights, they are a couple inches shorter than normal and I hit my head multiple times while exiting. That was definitely one of the negatives for me.

RE: Advice / Opinions on new WD spring bars

Thanks for all the replies / advice. Looks like the majority of you would go with the 1000# bars for my setup, so that's what I'm going to do. Anyone have a set of the BXW4007 spring bars laying around? I'm guessing I can probably sell my 550# bars to recoup a little bit of the cost...

Advice / Opinions on new WD spring bars

I currently have a Blue Ox SwayPro system with the 550lb. spring bars. I just bought a new TT and need to upgrade the spring bars on my SwayPro. The new TT is a 2013 Viewfinder V-28BHSS with a listed unloaded weight of 5565 (660 listed tongue) and a GVWR of 7660lbs. Blue Ox sells a 1000lb. and 1500lb. spring bar for the SwayPro and I'm unsure of which to get. I know the 1000lb. bars would handle it fine, but would the 1500lb. bars be overkill and cause a harsher ride? (Blue Ox's website says that using over-rated spring bars MAY cause a rougher ride and extra stress on the trailer tongue.) Most places I've contacted would need to special order the 1000lb. and I found a decent deal on the 1500lb. bars in stock.
What do guys think would be the best set to get for this new TT? I pulled it home 250 miles with the 550lb. bars and it was not at all enjoyable when a storm with near 60mph winds kicked in half way home.

RE: Kitchen Faucet in a Box

So far we've gone to a couple different campgrounds in Loudonville: Smith's and Mohincan Wilderness. Had a couple trips to Deleware and the KOA in East Sparta to ride 4 wheelers. Need to get out and try some different places, but end up going to the one's I know and like.
Any special places you guys like to go?
We go up and stay at Cedar Point's Camper Village alot or the KOA up there. We've gone to Cutty's Sunset a few times and we're giving Clay's Park a try next weekend. Loudonville is on our list of places we want to try...
