I knew some of them were closed in the state park, but I thought some were still open last time I looked. I am sure the KOA has the same tree problem.

I have not stayed at the KOA, but looking at the web site, should be no problem. I have stayed at Colorado State Forest sate park, right up the road about a mile from the KOA and there are spots you would fit in there with no problem, unless you need hookups.

Did you stay at Castle Lakes? that is what it looks like. We stayed there a few summers ago. Good fishing right there at the lake.

In Denver, the 4 "best" to chose from are Cherry Creek state park(south east Denver), Chatfield state park (south west Denver), Clear creek RV park in Golden, and Dakota Ridge in Golden. "Best" in that they are the most recommended here.

My boy scout troop did a flag retirement ceremony Sunday eve for flag day. It was really touching and enjoyable seeing the boys put on the ceremony.

You ARE planning to visit Yellowstone while in West Yellowstone, aren't you? The fee you'll pay is good for your carload/motorhome-load of people for a week, so no worries. Going through the park is not only the best way to go, it's the only way if you don't want to spend hundreds of extra miles doing it. Lots of big rigs drive through the park all the time. Go for it, take your time, enjoy the scenery, and when you use your toad to explore the park after getting set up at Grizzly, remember to take your park fee receipt with you. Not a problem. Have a great trip!

... the clouds broke and there is quite a few formed cornices and several avalanches over Peaks 6 & 7...
...I guess winter is on it's way!
Good thing, this summer was way to hot ! I am ready for some snow.;)

I have stayed in 43 with my 30 foot TT and pickup, you should fit no problem. Might want to park your truck behind the trailer though because the tree in front dripped sap all over my truck. Had to run into town to the car wash. We also have seen the turkeys in the open space below the spot. I have some pics I can email you if you want.
