RV Way in Cicero, NY

Has anyone had any work done at RV Way (may also be know as Seven O's) on Brewerton Rd (RT 11) in Cicero, NY? I am going there to get my awning replaced and wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them (good or bad). Thanks

Recommendation for shop in Syracuse area to work on my coach

I had a run in with a tree and need to get my awning replaced. I will have the awning shipped from the coach manufacturers plant to the shop and just need to have them remove the old awning and install the new one. I will be travelling and will be in the Syracuse, NY area and am looking for recommendations of reliable places that do good work to get the awning replaced. Thanks

Paintless dent removal

Has anyone had any experience with a paint less dent removal service? I have a dent on the cap along the top edge of my coach and was thinking about using one of these services to remove the dent. Thanks, Tom

Dometic or Carefree of Colorado

Due to an unforgiving tree, I need to get the awning on the side of my coach replaced. It is a power awning about 15' long with a wind sensor. Looks like the insurance quoted for a Dometic Awning and I currently have a Carefree of Colorado. Is there a difference, other than manufacturer, between the 2 awnings? Is one better than the other? Thanks

Hill's in South Bend is also open till midnight. The last time we had work done, we picked it up at 9:30 at night. Great group to work with. Dale Scottiemom, Thanks for mentioning that they are open until midnight. I forgot to include that fact. They are open from 7am until midnight Monday through Friday and open on Saturday from 9am to 3pm (not sure if the hours are exactly correct but they are open on Saturday.

Excellent Service at a Hill Truck Sales of South Bend, IN

I have been having an issue with a shimmy/vibration in the front end of my new coach since day 1 when I picked it up at the dealer 10 months ago. I had gone to several places to have it looked at and told Steve of the Freightliner help desk that I was going to the FROG Rally in Goshen. I asked if there was a Freightliner dealer that could take a look at my coach and he made arrangements for me to go to Hill Truck sales in South Bend, Indiana at 1011 Sample Street (574-289-4066 . I arrived early Thursday (7/31) and met up with Jimmy Berridge who is the Body Shop Manager. He had Verdell and John take the coach for a ride and when we returned, they both said that there was definitely a problem. They did a number procedures on the front wheels and determined that the tires were out of round (almost oval shaped). Jimmy then contacted the help desk and told Steve the issue and he said to replace only 1 tire. Jimmy didn't like that idea so he went back to Steve and they agreed to replace both front tires. Jimmy and Laurie made arrangements with a local tire shop to replace the front tires. During this several hour process, Laurie, who is the office manager and warranty support person, kept my wife, who was in the drivers lounge, informed of everything that was happening. The point of this posting is that if you are ever in the South Bend area and need work done on a Freightliner chassis, be sure to go to Hill Truck Sales in South Bend. Everyone at this facility was extremely knowledgeable and could not have been more friendly, caring and concerned with making sure that everything was just right. They took excellent care of my wife and I while we were there and it looks like the issue has finally been resolved.

RE: Anyone used ceramic beads to balance trailer tires?

I was speaking with Freightliners customer support/hotline because I was thinking of using it and was advised not to use the tire beads. They said that moisture tends to get into the tire and cause the beads to clump into a ball. I can't say if this is true or not but just passing along what I was told.

Good Sam Website

I have been going to the Good Sam Website almost every day now for several years and entering the monthly give away. Yesterday when I went to the site to enter, the listing to allow me to enter was no longer there. Today, the same situation. Does anyone know if they have ended this feature? Thanks.

Everything shutting down while travelling

There are a number of us who have 2014 motor homes on Freightliner XC raised rail chassis with the 360hp engine who have experienced everything shutting down while travelling on the highway- usually around 60mph +or-. By everything I mean that the all the gauges on the dash go off and the engine shuts down- just for a second- and then comes back on. Just wondering if anyone here has experience the same issue with their coach and if so, was there a fix for the problem. Thanks.

I have been trying to access the AccessFreightliner/AccessWesternStar web site and can't log on. When I contacted the help desk they said that I must be on a windows 7 or XT machine with ie 8 or 9. My machine is running windows 8 with ie 11. Is anyone else using ie 11 and windows 8 and are you able to log on to the web site? I can't believe that I am the only one having this problem. With XT no longer being supported, I hope that they are in the process of updating their web site because more people will be having this problem. Thanks

RE: Removing ext AC cover for dummies

Tom, There are 4 screws on my Dometic AC- one on each side toward the rear and 1 on each side in the front of the AC. Not sure if the Coleman is much different. Once you remove the screws you should be able to see pretty much everything that you would need to look at. Not all that hard to do. Good luck, Tom

The explanation sounds about right. I have heard this explanation before. I too get the low voltage once in a while and the volt meter will fluctuate up and down for a minute or two and then everything settles down when sufficiently warmed up.

RE: Printer Offline

Went through the 'Add a printer' setup again and installed the printer. It installed the printer as 'Copy 1' and it seems to be working (for now). So now it shows the original installed printer and the second one (the Copy 1). Hopefully this will resolve the problem for good.
