Good Sam Website

Disregard. Must have been a problem with their website. Seems OK now. Is anyone else having trouble logging in to the Good Sam Website today? I am trying to log in and it keeps telling me that my password is wrong even though it is the same password I have been using for a long time.

RE: Diesel Pushers, Do The New Ones Smell?

The new diesels use DEF (Diesel exhaust fluid) and have very little diesel smell. The DEF is used so that the diesel emissions are cut out.

RE: Looking for SMALL Scissor Jack for Under Steps

Amazon has this one available that folds up. Just another option to the scissor jack. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0024ECHII/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_3?pf_rd_p=1944687542&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00CB4L6JW&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0ZRFPD849370E3H1JME9

RE: Question, Exhaust fluid, Duramax,Repair shop

Read your emission warranty, usually 5 years or 100,000 miles. I thought that the emission control system was warranted even longer than 5yr/50k. ' Specified major emission control components are covered for the first 8 years or 80,000 miles of vehicle use (whichever first occurs)' Not sure if this applies to you but you could look into it. http://www.epa.gov/obd/pubs/420f09048.pdf

RE: An observation on WAZE app

Is it possible that because of where you were when you encountered the traffic that there was no way to get you to an alternate route? Also, if it had suggested an alternate route, you may have then had 16000 other wazers on that route as well.

RE: Fort Wilderness in July

We have gone during late July and early August. Is it hot? Certainly. Just as others have said, go early, leave mid-day, and return later. Make use of the pool at FW. Get some bottled water in plastic bottles and freeze them. Take the frozen bottles with you and they will melt during the day and you will have cold water. Staying hydrated will help. You can also bring some snacks with you if you don't want buy food at the park. Tom

RE: How do i check for trojans or other hidden malware

Thank you all for the responses. I am feeling a little better about my protection and the integrity of my system but will keep an eye out for anything funny happening. Thanks again.

RE: How do i check for trojans or other hidden malware

Mr.Wizard, I am on a secured network, it just seems that the security got turned off somehow. It was set to WPA2 and now I reset it and it is again WPA2. I just changed my passwords. Ran malwarebytes and superantispyware and nothing came up. I am currently running mcafee and will be going to Kapersky soon. Don't know what else I can do to protect myself. Hopefully this will take care of any holes in the system. Thanks for the encouraging words about being on safe ground and not needing to reset my computer to factory specs. Wasn't looking forward to doing that.

How do i check for trojans or other hidden malware

I just found out that my wireless router didn't have the encryption turned on and I was running on an open network. I run superantispyware and malware bytes every night and I normally doesn't find anything. I am worried that maybe someone saw that my network was open and installed something malicious on my machine. Is there anything that will root out a trojan or other malicious software (like key tracking)? Would resetting the machine back to factory settings (like it was a brand new machine just out of the factory) remove anything malicious? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

RE: DEF Diesel?

DEF gets injected into the exhaust system of newer diesel engines. DO NOT try to put DEF into your diesel tank with the diesel fuel. Could be disastrous.

Need Laptop Help!!

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop that is about 8 months old that is running windows 8.1. It has an I-5 processor with 6 gb of memory. Every so often, the disk active light will go on and not flicker at all and the cursor will freeze. The disk active light will show a solid, steady light and as I stated, the cursor freezes. Any ideas as to why this happens and what I can do to correct the issue?

Be careful if you go to America Choice Rv in Ocala, FL

I was returning home from a 2 month stay in Florida and we stopped to see some friends who live in Ocala. I wanted to get the chassis on my Class A greased because it had not been done for a while. I had received an email from America Choice RV and when I saw that the email stated 'Your One Stop Shop for RV Service and Repair' and 'No job to big or to small' and that they had heavy duty lifts and that they were in Ocala, I called and made an appointment. When I arrived, I waited about 15 minutes while the service manager (I think that is what he was) finished talking with another customer. I explained what I wanted and he told the girl at the desk to write it up. She turned to me and said that it would be $135 plus tax. I questioned her and the service manager as to why so expensive. I told them that I had paid half that amount at Freightliner in Gaffney and a local truck tire store for the same service. I again questioned as to why so much just to just grease the chassis, he said that they had to purchase the grease separately (don't know what that has to do with anything). If I hadn't spent a total of a half hour waiting and made a special trip, I would have walked away. The total job, including putting the coach on the lift and greasing the chassis took less than 30 minutes. Even at $130/hour labor, the entire job should have only cost $70 at most which is what I had previously paid. Sorry for the long post but I though that everyone should be cautious if you stop there for routine service. Make sure you check their pricing first.

RE: Storing with hydraulics jacks up or down?

I store my coach with the jacks up but I put 4x4's under the feet of the jacks so that when the air bags lose air and the coach settles, it settles on the 4x4's and it keeps the pressure off the tires and suspension.

RE: Buying DEF in diesel lanes at Pilot/Flying J

Dutchmen, Both fluids do NOT come out of the same hose. There is a hose for the diesel and as separate hose in a different compartment for the DEF. So far I haven't had any issues with pulling through the pumps opposite to the normal traffic flow. I wait until there is a lane open and then get diesel and DEF this way I do not have the hassle of handling large jugs of DEF and trying to get to my DEF tank.

Windows 8.1 question

I have a fairly new Dell Inpsiron laptop (maybe 9 months old) with Windows 8.1 installed. For those of you who have 8.1 installed, do you know how to stop the clock on the bottom left and the menu along the right hand edge from appearing all the time? It seems that when I am surfing the web and move the cursor, these items appear even though I am no where near the area (upper right hand corner) that would make these appear. I can't seem to find anywhere where I could adjust the sensitivity to prevent this from happening so often. As an FYI, the laptop also has a touch screen. Thanks

Tire Pressure Monitor system 507 TPMS

Does any one have a 507 TPMS with the flow through sensors? I am looking to replace the Pressure Pro system I have because the batteries on the sensors are not user replaceable and it does not measure the tire temperature. I can purchase a new, 6 sensor system for around $265. For those who have the 507 system with the flow through sensors- 1. how do you like the system? 2. about how long do the batteries last and are replacement batteries easy to find? 3. any pros or cons with the system? Thanks.
