RE: What is your campfire profile?

The campfire is a must. DH splits the wood and I make the fire. I use only paper to start it. The bigger the better. I LOVE A GOOD CAMPFIRE!!!!!!!!!

RE: bath and a half HR Ambassador 2006

when we were shopping for a MH in 2006 Holiday was the only one we saw and just could not make a deal on it. Our heart is still with that unit. We visit the kids 3 weeks a year and it would have been so nice to have that additional 1/2 bath. good luck with your decision.

RE: What do you do when you fulltime?

I found that you find a different type of people when you travel in the summer months. In the winter you find "snowbirds" in the summer you find working people with kids on vacation. You do have to do your homework. Where do you want to stay and what do you like to do. Then look around and find the spot that fits your needs. Volunteering is a great idea.

RE: Screen door latch is annoying!

Where do you get the magnets and how do you connect them?
It cost us $16.00 everytime the kids break them (three times).

Tom-Tom

My son just camped with us and he bought a new Tom-Tom. We had a great time using it with our tow vehicle. I was wondering what kind of GPS you use and what you like about it. I am still a little shy about this because of low bridges, etc. The gps dose not know I am in a very high motorhome. what are your thoughts, thanks

RE: how many don't argue

Our problem is what I think is perfect DH does not. We always end up talking with our teeth clinched tight. That is so the next site cannot tell we are having an argument (yea right) But once its in we can go on to the next challange, like where did you put "so and so". I love camping.

RE: On a 09 HHR, CRV, Fit or Scion XB do the miles accumulate?

We had a 2006 HHR and the milage does not accumulate. We also added a switch so we didn't have to pull the fuse (very, very easy to do). Nice car to tow. Not a big car however, you can ride 4 adults comfortably.

RE: Truck height

The drop receiver is for towing a trailer. I will be towing the truck from the front behind a motorhome. The truck is about 1 1/2 feet to high for the motorhome.

Truck height

We are thinking of upgrading our HHR to a chevy 1500. The problem is the truck is so much higher than the HHR. We have a receiver that has a high low on it but its not enough for the height of the truck. I know you must be only 2" over or under level so how do we get the tow bar that low?:@

RE: magnet lights??

the last 2 toad's we had have not had a flat roof so either you have to set them close to each other or right next to the roof rack where it does not set flat. It does make a mark. We put a "noodle on the wires to keep the rub down.

RE: Toad

We do have a surge braking system right now. I do think if we get a full size truck we should get a more substantial brake. However, surge brakes stop a large boat!!!!!!!!!

Toad

We are considering towing a 2009 Chevy 1500 4x4, crew cab, short bed (approx. 5,500 lbs, empty). Our motorhome is a Tourmaster 40' with a Mercedes 330. My question is how can we tell if this unit is to heavy to tow with this motorhome. Our hitch says 10,000 lbs and our tow bar is 10,000 lb.

RE: What do "you" use Protect All for?

You can go on the 303 web site and it tells you what to do for streaking. It tells how to use their product on different surfaces. its a very nice site.

RE: using the VA full timing

So if you reg at a VA you can see the doctors at that hospital? They give me so many appointments every month. I have asthma and allergies. My wife has the same thing and her doctor give her an appointment every 3 months. I'm not complaining but it just looks difficult to manage.

using the VA full timing

We are getting ready to go full time and would like to hear from some one who uses the VA for health care. My medication is mailed to our house and do not want us to go to pick it up. They also told us you cannot use a PO box for your address. How do you chose a primary? As you can see, I am totally confused. Help is appreciated.

water

We have an RO system in our coach and besides being a total waste of water it really does not taste good. I was thinking of buying a water softner to see if that will make a difference. Has anyone use this kind of system and how is the water.

Does anyone use a bra on the front of your motorhome. We are having our cap painted and also have a bra. DW thinks we should leave the bra off except if we are going through road work for extented period of time. Whats your thoughts?
