Seam leak fiberglass repair?
I have a leak along the seam of my cabover. There is also a coiple of small soft spots on the fiberglass.
My question is: Should I look for a RV body shop or can a normal rv repair shop fix the problem?
Does anyone know of a good place around Tampa that does this kind of work?
Thanks,
Terry
Cab Over ?
I discovered a leak in my cab over this weekend. I found a couple of soft spots along the seam and want to get it repaired.
My question is: Do I look for a RV tech or an RV body person?
Also, does anyone know of a good place close to Tampa for this type of work?
I am going to have them redo seal the other side at the same time.
Have a great day...
Terry
RE: Southwest FL to GA
Watch for speed traps while driving on 301 through the small towns. One of the cities drops the speed at the bottom of a hill and they nail people all the time. This is why AAA no longer routes members that way.
RE: Strange Cell Ph battery charge-duration issue while camping
cellphones switch to higher transmit power when in areas with weak or no signal. They also will keep transimitting while searching for a tower to lock into. This causes the battery to drain fast.
RE: My Doh Moment...
No it was still on the old filter. It dropped off when I was shaking out the remaining oil so I could throw away the filter. It was not from the drain plug.
Thanks,
My Doh Moment...
After reading on this forum how simple it is to change the engine oil, I picked up the supplies at WM. This morning I went to the storage yard and brought the camper to the house.
I took off the front bike rack and slid underneath to look at the situation. The filter and drain plug are right in the open.
As I slid back out to get the tools I wished there was a way to get a little more room to work. Thats when I had my Doh moment... :S
Use the yellow two step leveling ramps that I use while camping.... :R
I did and it took all of 20 minutes to due the change. I know I am getting slow in my old age....:W
I did find a brass washer after I was done, it was in the old filter. Did I need to add it to the new filter?
I also changed the generator oil.. Again thanks to this forum...
Cannot wait till Daytona Beach on Thursday....
Have a safe and happy 4th everyone....
RE: $80/Night at KOA San Diego
It is supply and demand.... I am going to pay $100 per night 3 night for Daytona Beach campground next week for the 4th. If I owned the campground I would have to do the same thing.
