RE: Can I trust that little gauge?????

holy cow... for $15.15 when you buy 6 at a time, start replacing them about every 10k... http://www.genosgarage.com/FLEETGUARD-AF26106-AIR-FILTER-03-07-59L/productinfo/AF-26106/ Fortunately you are down south, I have collapsed two with snow clogging..

RE: Wet Spring and bugs

won't prevent them , but amazing stuff for getting them off.. http://detailking.goemerchant-stores.com/Bug-Off-Cleaner_p_1562.html I think it's the same stuff they use at car washes. Make sure to read the directions... Not supposed to leave it on surfaces too long. Have never had it damage anything (use it on my car, truck and TT) but it does have specific instructions to follow.. Bryan

RE: Can I trust that little gauge?????

I get filters for about $14 and replace them every 7500 miles when I change my oil. I used to run them longer and use the filter minder, but found that much over 10k miles and I started dropping an mpg or so... Seemed worth the investment to optimize the mileage.... Bryan PS I always keep an extra filter in the truck in the winter as I have iced a couple in heavy snow

RE: Cedarlane RV Park Port Clinton,OH

We have been going there every year for many years. Nice place.... I have never managed to have full hook up there. We have always been on water and electric and they have grey water pits in various places around the park. We usually carry a hundred feet of garden hose and keep our grey tanks emptied once a day this way. They are a part seasonal place, but they keep it very nice. There may be full hook up sites closer to the front, but the sites in the back are more spacious Bryan

RE: Frankenmuth, Michigan Jellystone Park

We used to go there every year, it haven't been in several since he kids got older. Sites are smaller and no firepits at the sites but it is very close to town. Typical jellystone lots of stuff for the kids to do Bryan

RE: Anyone upgrade brake wiring - does it improve braking?

I did mine a few years ago to fix an issue, would probably do it on a new unit immediately as I think the daisy chain wiring is a bad idea.. Here is a post where I explain what I did and posted some photos.. Not so much about changing the size of the wiring but the layout... has made them much more reliable.. http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/24275368/srt/pa/pging/1/page/1 Bryan

RE: A few handy "Spares" to carry

RE: Air conditioner problem

mine does that every spring... seems to be stuck... try spinning the blower by hand a bit, then seeing if it will kick in. I have to do this every spring, then it seems to be fine for the rest of the summer... Bryan BTW, someday I plan to fix it :-)

RE: Camera - what lenses

Now I have lens envy.... Since we are talking lens lets share some pictures.. Mentioned I have two very similar lens one for close up, one for distance both with large apertures.. the 18-55mm lens is on the camera almost all the time, here is a recent photo from Pictured Rocks since you mentioned visiting parks... http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w292/troll3193/camera/IMG_0797PicturedRocksLoversLeap_zps03a12554.jpg width=640 this second one was from last night. Dark auditorium, no flash allowed, without the ability to get folks to stand still. Camera in aperture mode caught shots like this from about 150' away... http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w292/troll3193/TimsGraduationMay2013-14_zps7ef16f21.jpg width=640 Happy shopping and happy shooting... RE: Blue Ox Sway Bars

not blue ox, but have had the same issue on my TT. Have broken clips, the ball off the mount and trashed a bar itself... What is funny is I really don't have much sway as I have plenty of tongue weight and never know it till I see it.. I finally decided to ditch friction sway and have a dual cam setup to install on my TT this summer.. Bryan

RE: Camera - what lenses

save money on the body and put it in good lens.. I have a Nikon D60 for the body Have two Sigma lens I use . I specifically wanted to be able to shoot in low light with no flash, so I have an 18-50mm f2.8 and a 70-200 f2.8 Both have been great lens, bit less expensive than Nikon equivalents... and have 7 year warranties if I recall.. I came to get these lens by going to a camera shop and explaining the types of pictures I wanted to take... This approach worked very well and I have been very happy with them... Bryan

RE: Warranty work refused

not sure I understand your reply, just trying to say, I would and have perhaps paid more for a vehicle to buy it at a dealer that I have a good service relationship with.. Just joking around because you happen to drive a very, very reliable truck/engine combination that generally don't break down. ah, I get it, but unfortunately not all my vehicles are Dodge trucks with Cummin's engines :-)

RE: Warranty work refused

I do Counting on the Cummins to break down? Interesting. You must have a really, really long warranty. :) not sure I understand your reply, just trying to say, I would and have perhaps paid more for a vehicle to buy it at a dealer that I have a good service relationship with.. goes beyond vehicles as well.. RE: Warranty work refused

call me crazy, but they seemed to have " lost a potential customer." when you traveled 700 miles away to another dealer to buy something you could have bough locally.. Not justifying their decision, but understand it... Bryan

RE: Towing a large TT TH suggestions

Thanks for the input Bryan. So I can order the hitch above and add the dual cam system to it? Am I understanding that correctly? Also, my truck already has the 17.5k/1.75K (2 1/2") receiver. the hitch in your link comes with the dual cam sway control, so should be good to go...

RE: Towing a large TT TH suggestions

certainly the right product... I have the 1200lb version for my TT and it works great.. I do not have the dual cam yet, but am planning to upgrade to it... I have been running friction sway and have had problems with them breaking.. What you will need though is a class V receiver on your truck.. The stock one is probably a class IV. See this doc about weight ratings by classes. http://www.etrailer.com/faq-hitchclasses.aspx Bryan
