RE: Proper method to lift trailer for tire removal
My axles are under the springs and I use this Adapter between the axle tube and piston of the bottle jack. The adapter spreads the stress across the tube and should never cause a problem.
RE: Heaters
We use them all the time here in Louisiana and they work great. The only time we use the furnace is if the temp dips much below freezing then I will kick on the furnace to put some heat in the under area to keep pipes from freezing.
RE: F250 fuel filter price - ouch
I get the Motorcraft Oil Filters for my PSD at Wally World, they have the best price around here, but do not have the fuel or air filters for it.
RE: 120V supply while In Route
The batteries will probably be a little low when you arrive as I doubt you get 15 amps from the truck with that long small cable.
RE: Stinky camper???
If you drove in the rain to get there your slide is probably leaking at the bottom. The tires throw up a lot of water and if the bottom seal is not working the water will get into the RV at the slide. Happened to us the first time we drove in a very heavy rain and the dealer said the bottom seal was not touching the slide, so they changed the seal and so far so good.
