RE: Connecting Two Honda Genny's....

You can go two routes: 1: A regular Honda eu2000i, a parallel kit that has two wires and a 30A socket. 2: A Honda eu2000i Companion, and just the two wires. I'd go with the Companion since it means one less thing to deal with and plug in, and you can always keep the rig plugged into the Companion when you just need just one generator running. I would get the companion model. I have two of the regular before they cameout with the companion. The parallel kit with the 30A socket is bulky and just another thing to worry with.

RE: Lippert Leveling System 4 point

My Lippert auto leveling also lifts the coach much higher then necessary.I just go with the manual leveling. x2 I use manual also.

RE: GMAC insurance claim.

My coach got broke into a year ago and never had an adjuster come out. They told me to take to the repair place of my choice and gave me their numbers to give to them and they did everything. Did about $6000 in damage.

Today was the day 2/28/13

Today was the day we had to lay our beloved dog of 19 years down. She was diagnosed with cancer last summer. Had the tumor removed and the vet said probably on two more months. Well she stayed around 8 months. It was very hard on us and will be for a while. Losing a member of the family is always hard. About two months ago we got to new dogs (corgi's) because we knew this day was coming. Hopefully these new babies will make things easier in the next few weeks. Ginger we love you and hope to see you another day.

FYI - checked with Good Sam, for us Lifetime members the Elite status is only 3 years also. But my card says Valid thru LIFE. Is that not lifetime?

RE: New Camping World in Ocala, FL??????

Wish they would expand in Kentucky. The nearest one to us is 2 1/2 hours away. Which sucks. They shut the one down in Clarksville, IN a few years ago. I believe one in Central Ky would do a great business.

RE: RV Insurance

We looked at doing the same thing. Bundling with our homeowners and auto was higher than going thru GMAC. I save about $500.00 per year going with GMAC instead of bundling. Go figure.

RE: 50 Amp Extension Cord

I carry a 25' 50amp extension. I have only used it once. I have loaned it out to friends camping with us many times.

RE: PIR in Phoenix

Has anyone ever stayed for the races at PIR? The difference between a reserved & unreserved spot is $60. I can't get there till Thursday night, so is it worth the extra $60 to know I have a spot? Also, I have a toad with our MH- can I park it at our site in the Reserved section? Thanks :) I would just to have peace of mind to know I have a spot.

RE: Claims Experience

Last February we purchase the Challenger in sig. Drove home from Fla and had our first trip in 4 weeks later. After returning and putting into storage the next week it had gotten broke into. Did about $6,000.00 worth of damage. Called GMAC, sent pictures and such to them. Told me to take to dealer for repairs. They worked directly with the dealer repairing the unit. They did immediately send me a check for personal items (within 4 days). When time for renewal came around much to my surprise the premium was the same. I call them and they asked if I knew I had the storage rider on the policy. Told them no I was not a where of that. They explained how it worked and even back dated my storage and sent me a refund for last year. They also took time to explain any other discounts I could receive. Just finished an online driving course and will be getting a $50 or so discount this year, not to mention the storage portion too. Will be taking out of storage in a month for the year until November when it goes back into storage. I am happy with my GMAC policy. Another thing I found out was if you pay premium in full up front there is a large discount and that is probably why my premium didn't go up.

RE: buying a Ford 6.0???

I use to have an 07 6.0 when I was pulling 5er. Traded it and 5er on MH in sig. I bought the 6.0 with only 4200 miles on it. When I traded it had 54,000 on it. No problems what so ever. Oil changes and regular maint. Of course all the problems with previous years had already been fixed by ford by the time mine was made. But, would I buy another 6.0. Yea I would. I would get a later model after the fixes at the factory though. OK, I am sure this has been beaten to death, I am sure it has been talked about over and over. I tried the search, but not much luck finding what I need. Here is the story, we have a 30 FT Passport(5500 dry) that we tow locally a couple times a year and usually at least once a year over the Rockies. Normally tow with the suburban in my sig, much easier on the 3 kids to have a little space on a road trip. This summer we will be towing a 25' racing trailer about 70 miles round trip about 50 (yes 50!) times to the track. So I used my beloved 99 f-150 for towing to the track last summer. Unfortunately I was rear-ended last week totaling the pickup. I need a replacement vehicle and think it is time to move to a 3/4 ton for all the above towing. My budget is very limited AND this will probably be my daily driver. I was looking at the 3 major brand diesels in the 2002-2003 area and find some PSD 6.0 that seem like a good price. IS this worth taking a chance on? Find one not modded and proper maintenance done? I also have read the early duramax diesels have injector issue and need replacing around 150000 miles. Seems like it might be a gamble for either of those. I would not mind a Dodge, but they seem a little harder to find... Should I be scared of the PSD 6.0? Jason

RE: Good Sam Insurance Costs

As I stated in another thread. I just got the renewal on my policy for MH. Much to my surprise rate did not change. This is with a $6,000.00 claim from a breakin too. I was really worried I was going to have to go shopping for a new policy this year. Kudos to GMAC Good Sam. BTW-I pay full year at one time and have $1,000.00 deductible. Don't know if that matters or not. Just I thought I would throw that out there. Another note - A GMAC representative called me yesterday to make sure I had received my packet. Much to my surprise she told me things about my policy I had no idea. Explained the additional discounts I could receive, explained the process of having MH instorage for long periods and such. Actually ended up saving some more money. I just want to say great job GMAC.
