RE: just turning around at home?????

I never had an issue with just having to move my trailer a few feet, thus I always hook up my bars. Just me... its 2 minutes of life that I'll never get back but I can live with that

RE: Travel trailer won't hold charge

Another option is to take the battery to Autozone and have them load test it.
Free of charge, rule out its not a bad battery

RE: RV Buying question

I'm sure the salesman knows its used.. sure sounds like it. If they can't come clean on that i wouldn't trust them and I'd shop elsewhere

RE: Eco-Camping 95 Watt Solar Panel System

I wouldn't think solar panels store power other than batteries.
Creek side doesn't list the wattage of thier and Outdoor RV states 95watts.
To me that converts into charging time and what not. The 95watt will charge faster than a 25watt(if thats what they have) solar panel.
Thus the difference in price I'm guessing.

RE: 30 Amp Outlet, Is there a converter to make it regular 110?

RoyB
What about a 16/3 extension cord? Specifically this one in a 25' or 50' length:
Power Joe 16/3 Extension Cord
I didn't get through the entire thread but a 16/3 is going the wrong way amp wise...
16 gauge 3 conductor wire.
16 gauge is rated for 10-15ish amps maybe.
You want larger.

RE: Buying our 1st home!

My wife and I spoke, we'll continue to look for homes that allow for a TT in the driveway, side of the house or even better in the backyard.
Unless a great deal comes along... but it would have to be killer!

RE: Buying our 1st home!

Hey guys thanks for the replies.
I think we'll need to talk it over again. Folks at work who don't camp are advising don't let the camper get in the way of a good deal. However, I see the camper as family bonding and you can't put a price on that.
Yes I'm also taking advanatge of the VA loan. One of the best military benifts IMO

Buying our 1st home!

As the title states, we're buying our 1st home. Propblem is most of the properties in our price range and school area either don't have room, no back yard access or plain HOA laws won't allow the RV in the drive way.
So.. we've decided to leave our TT in storage. I have concerns about this because honestly since I've owned it's been safe in my backyard. I've always liked the hook up and go... For folks that have thier trailers in storage what are the pro's and con's?
Am I over reacting?

RE: Still dont have DC power. Need help troubleshooting.

I'm guessing that 30 AMP breaker is for your AC.
I'd put 1 lead there and the onther to any ground point and see if that breaker have power.
TBH I wouldn't change to thermostat just yet... IMO sounds like you might of fried your compressor, but you still have the same issue. You basicly just added a new one :(
The only way to check it also is to meg it and that requires someone that know a little more

RE: wood blocks under stabilizer pad jacks

This is only my 2nd year of camping in a TT. When I bought my TT my older brother who has 20+ told me to get blocks of wood to put underneath. I honestly never gave it any thought as to why...

RE: Who would do this.....an RVer????

True...
But I don't think the OP was wrong bringing it to the managers attention. I don't feel right or think its any of my busniess to ask someone what their handicap is just because I fel like being the "parking lot police"
If you feel something is up report it and let the law handle it...
