RE: I need battery help!

Mark,
If you have enough height, you could go with (2) L16Hs or (2) J305Hs. They
are same W and D as T105 but taller. (2) L16s are 435 AHs. (2)J305 are 360 AHs. Check out Trojans web site.

RE: Fuel System Explanation

VCBandit,
You probably have a Cat. 3126E engine. IT has a HEUI fuel system, which is
different than most diesel systems. HEUI(Hydraulic Eletronic Unit Injector).
1. You have a gear driven High pressure Oil/Fuel transfer pump. They are piggy backed and use the same gear drive at the front of the engine.
2. The transfer pump draws fuel from fuel tank thru fuel/water separator filter. Fuel is then pumped to hydraulic injector (about 65 PSI). If you have a 2 fuel filter system there will be a filter between transfer pump and injectors.
3.The hydraulic oil pump pressurizies engine oil to about 4000 PSI and sends to
injectors. The injector uses this oil to pressurize fuel to about 24000 PSI.
4. The ECM (Engine Control Module) tells the injectors (electronic) when and how much fuel to inject.
5. The transfer pump pumps much more fuel than the engine needs. This extra
fuel is used to cool injectors and then send back to fuel tank. It is very
important that final filter be 2 micron.
This is a pretty basic explanation of what is happening, but I think you will
understand. If you need more PM me.

RE: Oil drain plug - the "saga continues"

Bill,
Sound like a good plan. You might also think about J B Weld at your next oil change. Alot easier that pulling the pan. Worked for me many times. I wish you luck.
God bless you.

RE: Oil drain plug - the "saga continues"

Bill,
There is a product made by Pematex called Spray'n seal. I think this will
solve your problem until your next oil change.

RE: Do I have a grease Zerk on my Cooling fan??

logger,
If you have a grease zerk,it will be on the top side of fan bearing housing
between the rear of fan pulley and front of the cylinder head.My cat. is a
2004 and does not have a zerk.BTW this is not the water pump location. The
water pump on a 3126E is low on right side of engine and is driven by a small
V-belt.

RE: TranSynd Transmission Fluid

spudracer
Look in the area of your transmission dipstick. There should be a sticker
about using only transynd. Also your first service should be to change your
main filter only. This takes one filter and about 2 quarts of fluid. Next
service is both filter at 3 years or 75000 miles.Transynd is good for 4 years
or 150000 miles. A change of filters and fluid takes about 5 gals. because
about 3 gals. stays in torque convertor and doesn,t drain.

RE: Adjusting float voltage?

James and Brett,
Thanks for your quick replies. At 90 float voltage is 13.4/13.5.I think this
is a little high and would prefer 13.2 at that temperature.I will call
Xantrex.
thanks again

Adjusting float voltage?

I have a Xantrex RV 2012 inverter/charger and I think the float
voltage is a little to high. The charger has a battery temperature
sensor.Float voltage runs 13.4 to 13.8 depending on battery
temperature.I've been having to add 2 to 3 oz.s of water per cell
each month.Batteries are interstate 4Ds.Does anyone know if the
float voltage can be adjusted and how to do it?
thanks for any help
