RE: Sony Vaio Laptop will not run windows Defrag

Not in win 7. You need to go to thru the start menu to find it. Typing defrag does not work I know how to find it. It just does not run.

RE: Sony Vaio Laptop will not run windows Defrag

she had a Million things that automatically started when she booted her laptop. I ran msconfig and solved that Problem. The Computer is very Slow. She has asked me when I get a Chance to install Linux. In the Meantime I will see what else I can do to solve the Problem. I will DL Anti Malwarebytes to see what it can find. Defrag however, should still run.

RE: Hand Guns

This is my Opinion. When fulltiming on the Road, I fully intend to carry a Firearm in case I need it for Protection. I would rather be convicted by 12 than be carried to my Grave by 6.

RE: New full timers and new to the forum, Hi!

Welcome to the Forum. You will find a wealth of Information here. Do not hesitate to ask Questions, The only dumb Question is the one you fail to ask. I am a Fulltimer. Right now I am at Betty Sue's RV Park in Hurricane Mills, TN. Betty Sue is Loretta Lynn's Daughter. You never met a Finer Family. I first met Loretta back Stage at the Opry in 1985, What a Great Lady! I am starting my big Adventure in late Spring or early Summer. I am heading west with my Lady. The Trip will terminate in Alaska. We will be there for a Month visiting my Son and his Wife. Then me and my Lady will go South somewhere for the Winter. We are Snowbirds. We will be following the Seasons.

RE: Too old to continue traveling ? Grown children urging ..

Our home base is TriCities, Washington. And talking with our adult daughter today and she thinks we should settle down and get an apartment or go into a "senior apartment" .. we are fine, no medical issues of significance .. do not need 'assistance care' .. and are and have been volunteering these past years ... now we are in our 70s. I know this has been talked of before (searched, but couldn't find right combo of words to pull up thread) .. and was wondering if others are having this same type of discussions with their adult children (in their 40s & 50s). We have more traveling we want to do - Virginia trip possibly next year before looking for an apartment or a larger RV to retire in at an RV Park .. If you have had this type of "discussions" with your grown children - how did you 'deal' with it ? I would do what is best for me. It is your Decision. I would tell my Daughter that I appreciate her Concern, but that Y'all are Fine, and that she should concentrate on her own Life and not worry about what you do. She sounds like a Worrier. I had a Wife that was like that, I talked to her about it many Times for all the Good it did, She wound up literally worrying herself to death! she died at age 53.

RE: Baking Powder

Does anyone have a "recipe" to make baking powder? I KNOW it has baking soda and something else...just don't know what the something else is/are. I don't like all the additives that are being put in commercial BP. Thanks! cts Baking Powder is Baking Soda with and edible Acid added. It is usually Cream of Tartar. If you will notice when baking a Cake using Baking Soda as a Leavening Agent, somewhere in that Recipe is an Acid to make the Baking Soda work. In the Case of Devil's Food cake it is Vinegar.

RE: Sending Email.

I have not been travelling. I am using my Home Network. I have solved the Problem. As a last Resort, I unplugged the Modem and Router and plugged them back in. That solved the Problem. Thanks to everyone that posted a Reply.

RE: Ugh!! It's Time To Lose Weight Again

At one time I weighed a little over 500 Pounds. One day I was watching TV with my Wife and I saw an Infomercial for the Michael Thurmond Program. It looked pretty good so I ordered it. I have used it to lose 200 Pounds. I am using it now to lose even more.

RE: About Full-Time Rving

I am a fulltimer. I was a wannabe for several years. I got a Divorce early this Year and I decided I am not getting any younger, so I purchased a 1991 37 Foot Diesel Pusher. I do not regret my Decision for a Minute. Right now I am fulltiming in Tennessee right close to Loretta Lynn. I rent a Spot from her Daughter. You will make good Friends that will be Friends for a Lifetime.
