RE: 2000 Holiday Rambler endeavor info help

Well went to see the HR and I have to say the interior was very clean with no signs of past or present leakage. But there were issues, the owners have been living in it for 5 years with only a few trips of about 300 miles in the 5 years. We had trouble starting the gen that had almost 4000 hours on it. We could not take it for a ride because one of the jacks would not move. It going to need new battery and tires. The engine and trans looked good with clean fluids and no signs of leakage. I think I'm going to pass. Dave

2000 Holiday Rambler endeavor info help

I'm going to look at a 2000 HR endeavor tomorrow. What should I be looking for? I know the normal stuff to look for. but what are the problem areas that are specific to the 2000 HR. I believe it's on a freightliner chassis and it has a Cat engine. What Allison trans would it have 4 or 6 speed and what suspension? Any other info would be helpful. Thanks Dave

RE: Info about 90's Monaco's

It's the Dynasty model. I might be wrong but I think the RR4 and RR4R are newer chassis. Dave A Dynasty was a great model from what I have heard from friends. We have one friend who sold his Dynasty to buy the top of the line Monaco product - a Signature. He says he still wishes he had his Dynasty back. I have my eye on a 1990 40' Monaco Signature as well but the owner and I just can't seem to agree on the price. Dave

Info about 90's Monaco's

I'm looking at a mid 90's Monaco 38' DP with the Cummins 300HP diesel. I'm not new to campers so I know all the normal stuff to look for. But I am new to class A motorhomes what I need to know is what to look out for on an almost 20 year old DP? Yes I did the normal search's and know Monaco is/was a good coach, and I know all about the gas vs. diesel debate. For me diesel is what I want for many reasons. Price is what limits me to a 90's DP. What are known problem with the 8.3 Cummins and the 90's Monaco? Thanks, Dave
