RE: need some advise in the Sarasota FL area

Try Sarasota Lakes RV Resort right in Sarasota. Not too far from the airport and the Ringling School of Art & Design. We've stayed there many times. Bagman. Bagman, I believe the OP is looking for a tire dealer, not a campground.

RE: RV park in Tampa, FL area

I don't consider 130 miles each way "Close" or "Around". Me neither, even Mt Olive Shores RV Park at 45 plus miles is a good 75 to 90 minutes from Tampa. If one is looking east of Tampa, Lakeland would be at the outer limits as far as the OP wants to locate based on his driving time schedule.

RE: RV park in Tampa, FL area

Try River Ranch! Just google River Ranch Rv Park and check it out online. We live in Tampa and love to find RV spots around Tampa for the Weekends. We loved this place. Again how close to Tampa do you want to be. River Ranch ia a long 130 miles from Tampa.

RE: RV park in Tampa, FL area

Kind of between Tampa and Disney in Orlando. Along with lot sales, they also have long term rentals - http://www.mtoliveshoresnorth.com Depends on how close to Tampa you want to be. This park is over 45 miles from Tampa.

RE: protection... I don't get it.

Many states have reciprocity with other states. Florida has rreciprocity with well over 30 other states. Some states allow "open carry". Many do not. Generally speaking many CCW holders do not encourage "open carry". Be sure to check various state laws. Generally speaking weapons can be carried in vehicles as long as they are not "readily accessible" in most states.

RE: Going To Florida using 81S, Campgrounds closest

I guess I'm confused. Are you going north or south on I-81. Harrisonburg is between I-64 and I-66. Winchester is north of I-66, so if going south you are already past that location. You may be referring to stopping at Harrisonburg on an earlier trip? Winchester is 17 miles north of I-66 and I-81.

RE: Low Mileage Cream Puff - Questions

I have Goodyear G670's and have never had the problems listed by The Texan. I have many friends with whom we often discuss Rving. Many of them have Goodyear G670's and have never indicated any such problems.

RE: Advice on Florida rv resorts

Riverside RV Resort Arcadia is very nice and is actually just out of Port Charlotte. There usually booked far in advance but it would be worth calling. Not much in Arcadia, Port Charlotte is approximately 25 miles away.

RE: How much monthly income did it take for you to retire?

That is so variable, due to different life styles. The cost to rent from October to March in the south can be from $3,000 to $12,000 depending where you go. It's simple to calculate your cost. Put down fixed cost, like mortgages, taxes, insurance, health insurance, food. Then add in fuel, entertainment. Probably a gross income of $6,000 a month will handle the average RVers lifestyle. But you could get alone on less if you have everything paid for and in good health. The health insurance is one thing that you need to put a figure on if your policy does not cover you in areas outside your existing domicile. Then if you relocate domicile, then maybe it would cover you and pehaps you can get around state taxes, assuming you go to a non state tax area. I think $6,000 a month is far too high for the average person's retirement income. I don't make anywhere near that and my financial health is excellent. Many of my neighbors are retired and most make less than I in retirement income. I think that figure is misleading to anyone comtemplating retirement.

RE: airing 22.5 inch motorhome tires

Too pricey for us regular guys.... I'll second that. The unit may be worth the price, but a ridulous price to air up your RV tires.

RE: what do you pay for indoor storage?

Inside storage in Winter Haven, Fl - new building, no power, no hookups of any kind - $350 per month. I store mine in outdoor storage, gated access, security cameras at $45 per month.

RE: USAA experience...

FYI - for those not familiar with USAA USAA means United Services Automobile Association In 1922, when 25 Army officers met in San Antonio and decided to insure each other's vehicles, they could not have imagined that their tiny organization would one day serve 7.2 million members and become the only fully integrated financial services company in America. We believe they would be pleased to know that USAA has remained true to their founding values of service, loyalty, honesty and integrity. Our Mission The mission of the association is to facilitate the financial security of its members, associates, and their families through provision of a full range of highly competitive financial products and services; in so doing, USAA seeks to be the provider of choice for the military community. The Value of Membership USAA is not a publicly traded company, so we don't answer to stockholders — we answer to our members. They rely on us to suggest products and services that meet their financial needs. In fact, some of our best advice costs absolutely nothing. Advisors in our Financial Advice Center are here to answer questions, large and small, at no charge. Are You Eligible USAA membership is a privilege earned by those in uniform — and it's a privilege that can be handed down to their children. Membership is open to: Active, retired and honorably separated officers and enlisted personnel of the U.S. military. Officer candidates in commissioning programs (Academy, ROTC, OCS/OTS). Adult children of USAA members who have or had a USAA auto or property insurance policy.1 Widows and widowers of USAA members who have or had a USAA auto or property insurance policy. You only posted membership available to military related personnel. I was never in the military and have been a member for over 40 years. Membership is also available to certain classes of law enforcement personnel.

RE: Purchase New Class A - Take IRS $6,500 Tax CREDIT

The OP keep referring to the $6,500 as if it is truly a total of $6,500. It is not. As has been pointed out in several postings it is a $6,500 tax credit far different than a $6,500 tax deduction. The value of the tax credit would depend on your tax rate. Whether any of that would be legal under IRS rules is a totally different matter.
