RE: Fogged window glasses in MH...

We have had Hehr windows in out rig since 2000. Never a problem. They make a high quality product. Expensive, but quality. Hehr windows Hehr Windows have their problems too! First 2 of mine that went foggy were replaced free of charge at the 6 year mark (I just had to pay for installation at a local installer). I now have 2 more Hehr windows that have gone bad in my Carriage 5th wheel. Will be stopping in at Suncoast Designers in October on my way south this year. Hehr won't replace these latest ones under warranty and the replacement cost is $460/window. I think Hehr may have had a problem with their windows in the 2005/2006 timeframe - seen lots of people complaining about them in RVs of that vintage.

RE: Fantastic fan not working

My Fantastic Fan vent cover lift mechanism just stopped working. How difficult is the repair if you receive replacement lift mechanism from Fantastic Fan? I see a few screws on the lower side of the turn knob. Are these all I will need to remove in order to replace the lift mechanism? Hope somebody here has done this before and can walk me through the process. Thanks in advance.

RE: Time to Install New Tires - Evergreen Brand?

Oh man! I'm the original poster here on this thread and I really didn't want to get FLAMED which is why I requested only responses from people with some actual experience. I'm like everybody else - I will do my "due diligence" before I buy a new unknown brand. I recall my father buying Michelin tires back in the '60's when no one had ever heard of them either! Every company starts somewhere and this company could be the next Michelin for all I know (or, it seems, anyone else on here knows). If I don't get good reports on these tires, I won't be buying them so please don't try to lecture me from your high horse about something you know nothing about!

Time to Install New Tires - Evergreen Brand?

I have to install 6 new tires on my tow vehicle within the next month or two and the best deal I've found is on a brand called "Evergreen" which I've never heard of before. Does anyone have any experience with this tire manufacturer? Are their tires any good? I'm sure they are made in China but the price is $300 lower than for any other brand (so $50 each). Please respond only if you have any actual experience with this tire brand. Thanks

RE: Mice in Fifth Wheel

I put dcon in mine one year, and the mice and dcon dissapeared, but when we went camping the next spring, and opened our lawn chair bags, they were full of dcon the mice had brought all the way to the storage bay. Ha. That happened to me one time. I kept buying more and more dcon. Couldn't figure out how I could have so many mice. A few days later I opened up my BBQ and it was half full of dcon. Who was poisoning who?

RE: Really?

And then, when you get to the RV park, you don't need a golf cart to drive around in. You can just use the Smart car. It's about the same size.....

RE: Latest and Greatest WiFi Booster?

Google "Ideaworks WIFI Antenna". This antenna works for me in a situation like you describe (1/4 mile distance, wooded area, etc.). Inexpensive to purchase too!

RE: Rot repair

Is it my imagination or are we seeing a real up-tick in new members having just bought/thinking about buying/etc; rigs with existing rot and needing advise on how to repair? yes we are seeing more of these. they buy and then come on here and ask instead of doing it the right way. bumpy OK. I'll bite. What is the "right" way?

Laptop Hinge Problem

The hinge on my MSI laptop has virtually seized up and is starting to pull the screen apart on one side every time I try to close it. Also causes the screen to flicker on/off whenever it gets moved. I tried a couple drops of 3 in 1 oil to see if that would help but didn't seem to. Can hinges be fixed or do I need to leave it open for the rest of it's life? Any tips???

RE: Construction Along I-75 This Year?

One of the questions folks used to call the State Police (Well they still do) to get an answer to in Detroit want something like this: "I'm going to Chicago is there any construction on I-94?" Detroit is like 300 miles from Chicago.. YES, there is construction.. I don't know where, but there IS construction. What??????

Construction Along I-75 This Year?

I'll soon be making the annual trek down I-75 from Detroit to Naples and just wondering where the construction trouble spots are likely to be this year. Anyone been along there lately? Thanks in advance for any info!

RE: Parcel relay service, shipping to Canada from Camping World

So, the shipping to your door was $79 on a $1300 order? Were there any other costs to get the items to you? If they shipped together, would you have saved any money?

Ideaworks Long Distance Wifi Antenna - It Works!

Our RV park has Wifi that is only available within about 100 ft. of the office. A local retailer was advertising this Ideaworks antenna for $29.99 so I thought I'd give it a try and it actually works. We went from no bars signal strength to 4 bars at our site which is close to 800 ft. away from the office. What a great improvement! It may not work for everyone but it sure helped with our situation. We have no "line of sight" to the office. Lots of trees and RV's between us and the office so I really didn't think it would work. Nice surprise!
