Took the truck for a drive and the warning is no longer on???? Will take in for service. Manual states either low def or contaminated . It was topped up at dealer so we will go from there. Will update when I hear more. PS. I love the POS truck,,,,,,,,, Haha

F350 code regarding DEF

Hi I own a 2012 f350 and only have 10000 km. I just got a code showing exhaust fluid system fault spend reduced to 80 kph in 80 km. Had the first oil change done at 8000 km and service record says def topped up. The information cluster shows def level is ok. Anyone?

RE: Question for 2013 F350 owners.

You can use your own hitch. Check the measurements. My 2012 has factory prep but I use my Curt hitch. Needed to buy an adapter. Reese part.

camping around Seattle

Heading down end on july for a week from Calgary, Alberta. Looking for advice on campgrounds not to far from city. I have 2 little boys aged 7 and 9 and would like to find a campground with a pool. We have a 30 foot fiver. Did some research and know there is the KOA but man a week stay there is about 500 bucks!!!!!! I find them to be tight and overpriced. IMO Any advice? Would like to take the family to a ball game, shopping for wife, and I hear of a very good tour of the airline ( bowing?????) thanks Rob

RE: Ford Trucks / Lowest Price Paid

Bought a 2012 Lariat f350 when the 2013 were introduced. MSRP was 79,000 paid 62,000 out the door. This is Canada. Friend is a GM at the dealership and sells me at 700 bucks over cost. Bought last 2 trucks from him.

RE: B&W System VS Ford Factory Hitch

My 2012 f350 has the prep fiver kit and I wanted to keep my Curt 16k slider. I researched here and found a Reese adapter and use my original hitch. Nice to have the box without rails! Keep yours!

RE: Post a pic of your 1/2 ton truck and fifth wheel

Now that was really good and at least original..................don't you sleep and drive!!!! Works for me! The 350 allows for a bed for sleeping too.

RE: Post a pic of your 1/2 ton truck and fifth wheel

No pic....... Sorry. I towed my cougar xlite 29 footer 7000 dry loaded at 8200-8800 weighed with my 2010 7700 gvwr maxtow f150 and was too close to all my ratings that mattered to me. Not the 11,100 towing or the 17100 gcwr. These are of least importance with fiver towing. However, I tow in the hills of BC and southern Alberta and just was worried about towing at max. It performed great and got avg mpg around 10. Did Calgary to Nova Scotia 2 summers ago and was very impressed. Had LT tires and added supersprings. A few of you look to have combos that appear to look safe. My question is how many of you guys weighed the set up? I am not weight police and did upgrade to f350 so I could sleep better. Where I towed was a big factor and doing 20,000 km in two years warranted the new diesel for me. Happy towing to you all!

RE: 2013 F150 payload low?

My 2010 max tow 7700 GVWR had a payload of 1500 lbs. Some don't realize the truck was almost 6200 pounds alone! My fifth wheel is an honest 7000 dry with only 1100 pin. Still to close for me being at 99 percent on payload and RAWR and stepped up to a F350. I had a lariat in my f150 and lariat in my 350 and the trim level adds weight!!! The 8200 GVRW would be a must or you need a small trailer as you already know. Good luck.

RE: Super springs or timbrens????

That does seem weird that this weight sinks the 350 this much. However, I used supersprings on my 2010 f150 with my fiver. My drop was only 1.75" but liked the springs for the no hassel adjusting. They worked as advertised but did bring the rear up 1". now have a 2012 f 350 and with 1150 pin have no worries. Anyone want to buy supersprings?????? AA28 kit? half price and used one summer?

RE: Thinking about jumping off the "fiscal cliff" myself

My 2012 f350 loaded lariat had msrp of 79500. I bought my last 2 trucks from the same guy (friend) and paid 62400 with taxes in. This in Alberta with no provincial tax but 5%get. High price still but got a fair price as the 2013's were a coming. Did but my fiver in the USA and saved 10,000 even after shipped from Michigan. Thought about 2011 used but could not find any locally. Was weary of the 6.4 so avoided the 2008,09 etc. Hope my 6.7 proves to be good,,,,

RE: Tpms on f350

I aired all tires to 68 psi and drove 10 k and the warning light went off. Seems I will keep tires at 68 all round and go 75 in rears with fiver in tow. My fiver is very light with under 1400 pin so 75 should be good. Thanks for all replies.
