RE: Where does my tv plug in?

If the power is not using a plug/receptacle you could use the same wires as skipnchar suggested by installing an outlet and use the old wire from the current TV set. You could do the same for the coax with their connector.

RE: Are hitches universal?

Many of the standard rail mounted hitches are fully interchangeable. Spacing and location are pretty much standard as well.
There may be more exceptions in the under bed rail mount kits as they are customized to hitches and truck frames.

RE: SLIDE MOTOR RELAY???

If one works and the other doesnt you can swap the fuse for testing.
Check all the wiring.

RE: Jordan 2000-2020 users, need advice

If smacking the controller makes a difference I would scrap the controller and find a replacement. Just seems to indicate a defective controller.
MaxBrake would be my first choice, Prodigy probably second.
Make sure the actuator line from the brake pedal arm into the controller is moving smoothy and easily.
If wiggling the connector makes a difference Id start troubleshooting the connector and wiring.
Anytime you have output to the brakes you will have a current reading on the Jordan. During tests Id suggest turning it up all the way just to be sure you get a reading.

RE: Sherline Scale

I dont understand why every dealer selling 5th wheels doesnt have one. They could go thru their lot and properly mark every 5th wheel and TT and give customers more accurate information.
Id have me a 5000# model - about $140.00. Take it to an RV park and offer to weigh for $5.00 or $10.00 per rig - pay for itself.

RE: Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection

Video does not show any chains, but I would think using the ball hitch would require using safety chains to meet state laws.
Im not trying to pick a fight, but when I read posts about concerns for breaking the single bolt holding the ball vs. breaking the single bolt that holds the Kingpin is there really much difference?

RE: PRNDL Indicator repair

It is very easy but you may need to stand on your head to see it. The small wheel is right next to the steering column and brake pedal arm.
When I did mine I set the emergency brake and put the vehicle in drive (need key on but no motor running). The rest will come out right too.
See this thread (another forum).

RE: Slide not sliding

Yes there should be a manual crank to operate the slides. Each one should be independent.
You need to ask if the slides mechanisms are electrical or electric/hydraulic. There can be additional considerations with electric/hydraulic.
Just off the cuff guess there are likely fuses, broken wires or worn out switches causing the problem but this can take time to troubleshoot. And may require someone with some knowledge of how they work.

RE: Sidewinder 5th Airborne

One reason is $$$. Seems like a waste.
Im not one in favor of the Sidewinder pinbox due to the 22" extension from the kingpin point in the hitch to the turret where the 5th pivots.
Additionally you have to block the Superglide from sliding.
There is about a 2.5" difference in the height of the Sidewinder due to the long extension. If you wanted to tow this 5th wheel with another vehicle you may need to make some height adjustments.

RE: Sidewinder 5th Airborne

I dont think the Superglide requires a straight line hookup but the TV must be within about 15ยบ to the 5th wheel.
Most of the better hitches have the side/side pivot and are vertically adjustable.
Im sure I would not mix a Superglide with a Sidewinder.

RE: Fifth wheel slider

Another possibility. The locking pins are like the sharp end of a pic-ax (semi-sharp to blunt). You can see them in the Figure 12 also inside the legs of the slider.
Undo the hitch pins at the bed rails. Roll the hitch forward or backwards to expose access to the bottom of the side of both legs. Spray heavily inside this area with WD40. This will lubricate the "leaf springs" which the locking pins ride and assure when you move the handle from Tow to maneuver that the pins are properly and fully releasing.
The arm will move much more smoothly.

RE: Fifth wheel slider

I can only comment to the square tube Reese slider hitches. I agree with the others - lube it.
Square tube - the rollers are just rolled steel, not ball bearings. The Slider rails are also just steel. I think the rails and/or the rollers can get flat spots on them and make rolling difficult. I also believe you have to be a little aggressive (not destructive) with these heavy duty hitches to make them work correctly.
Lube the slide bars
Lube the outside of the rollers - they may slide instead of roll
Lube the inside of the rollers if they do roll
If there are indentations in the rails use sandpaper to smooth out the edges of the indentation.
Look for Figure 12. This shows the side of the legs, slider bars and rollers.

RE: Adding a 4 prong flat to existing 5/6

We know you know what you mean, but we dont know what you mean :)
Can you further define what you mean my "Keeping the 5/6 available". Do you need to plug in 2 connectors at the same time or just want to not destroy/remove the 5/6 pin connector. Can make a difference with the adapters suggested.
