RE: long term spot - Denver/Ft. Collins Colorado area

Hi, don't know where you looked on the web but check RVParkreviews.com Just as an example Johnson's corner RV Retreat list rates of $400 to $450 a month plus electric, I have spent two summers there not bad but the noise from IH 25 is pretty loud if you are in the front row, and the wifi is nothing to write home about. Loveland Station list there rate at around $380 a month, nothing fancy about this park and I don't know about their wifi. As far as I know Fort Collins just has a KOA and no idea what they would charge you a month. You don't indicate where you need to be close to so keep in mind from Fort Collins you are only about 35 miles to Cheyenne Wyoming and there are a couple RV Parks there. Good Luck Bill

RE: Changing Insurance to State Farm, your input requested

I have been with State Farm since the late 70's and have had a travel trailer and motor home insured with them. On the TT they paid two different claims each totaling about $3K. When I got my new Fifth Wheel they would not insure it because we were going full time. Still have two cars and life insurance with them. Bill

RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Thanks again for the input, guess I will just have to look at both of them and see which I like best, they are both Lazy Daze but different floor plans. Will have to wait till weather clears as it's pretty cold here in Northern Colorado right now and at my age I don't get out much when its in the teens. Everyone take care and those that can get out and go camping GO.......... Bill

RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Thanks for your input Griff, the 318 is in a 1979 Lazy Daze with a rebuilt transmission and solar panels, have not got in touch with seller yet to see about how many miles on it but the add indicated it had recent emissions certificate. Bill

RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I have been looking at older Class C's with the idea of getting something for short trips fishing etc., I have a 35ft FW and Diesel P/Up for full-timing but we have been off the road for the last year due to frequent medical appointments. Any way I have found one with the Dodge 318 (1979) and another with the Cheve 350 (1981), from what I find on the web the 318 is about 230HP/320 torque, the 350 is 160HP/250 torque, does this sound right? If so given the same size MH would the 318 be more capable than the 350? My trips would be in and around Colorado. Thanks Bill
