Turn it in to your tow vehicle insurance company, mine repaired damage caused by a tire blow out and a crack that developed in the front cap, they called it collision damage.

RE: What is the stranget dry camping you experienced
Arrived after dark at a Cub Scout father son camp out, unknowingly pitched tent on top of a "fire ant" mound. Discovered our error shortly after going to bed but ended up having to abandon the camp out and driving home, striping at the back door and running for the shower.
