RE: ford v10, year to year changes

5 speed tranny in 05 and up would be nice. Any other major changes? Most seem to think it is a good long lasting engine. Are they all fuel injected. Any throttle body??

Looking at c's from 03 to 09 any changes to the v10, anything to avoid. I am not that familiar with it but have heard good things...thanks.

RE: Looking to purchase, need advice

I think Tom Test covered your questions about the Rialta and similar models. My question is why would fuel economy be so important? Depreciation costs will exceed your fuel costs until the rig is very old and worn out. Maintenance costs, insurance and licensing also have to be considered. My diesel motorhome gets 10 mpg while most others seem to get 8 to 9 mpg. Most of us drive 5,000 miles a year or less, so at $4 a gallon my annual fuel bill would be $2,000. You can check NADA on line to get an idea of what an older RV would be worth vs. a new one. As you'll see, depreciation trumps everything.X2

RE: Lunch with the 1%

Actually, I was there at the Motorcoach Country Club in Indio last night. I was in Quartzsite, AZ, for 4 days and it gave me a place to empty my tanks, refill with fresh water, plug up to 50 amps, do laundry, etc. It's only about 3-4 miles from my storage garage so I'll stop there if I need to do anything to the coach. I also tried their upstair restaurant. Sunday evening is 'comfort food' night where they offer meatloaf, which is one of my favorite dishes (if a good recipe). It's a beautiful resort with fantastic views. They also made a perfect martini!:C A basic lot for one night with taxes, fees, etc., was $107.00. MM.$107 a night, it's less than Disney. Doesn't sound to bad.

RE: snowmobile Yellowstone in the winter

Were you able to see any wolves? Unfortunately they may be tougher to view in the future as the hunting season has taken a high percentage of them just outside the park. The sucess rate has actually been low for hunters. Most are not filling their tags.

RE: TC and Other RV?

I have the rigs in my sig. 45' DP and TC. I don't use them at the same time however. I suppose I could though. The truck can be towed 4 wheels down and the hitch on the DP is rated for 15k. I would need a good tow bar.

RE: Flat towing question for full sized truck - Which one?

My manual for the 2011 dodge says towing 4 wheels down is no problem. No distance or speed limitations.

RE: Dodge 5500 Long Hauler Concept vehicle could see production

This is a truck I would trade for in a minute. GVW of 19.5k. Air ride, you can raise and lower at will. Mega cab room, I could come up with something for the extra space between the TC and the cab. Ram please build it and we will buy it!
