RE: CG in southwest Indiana

Lincoln State Park...thumbs up...spacious sites, inexpensive, interesting museum and working Lincoln era farm.
Lake Rudolph....thumbs down....too noisy, literally one billion golf carts driven around by teens.

RE: Watch the 2 millionth Cummins engine for the Ram being built

Somebody asked earlier where this engine ended up at...I work for Cummins (but not at that particular plant) and asked a fellow engineer at the CMEP plant where engine was built and they said it was shipped to Chrysler where it will be put on display.

RE: Summit Lake State Park, Indiana

We went there a couple of yrs ago. There are 2 loops, one loop is alomost all in the shade, but very small / short sites. The other loop has about 1/3 of them in woods and along the waters edge while the remaining 2/3 are more open. didn't do any fishing so can't tell you about that...

RE: LITTLE FARM ON THE RIVER RV RESORT (Rising Sun, IN)

We went this past Halloween. Stayed in the lower section along the river...definetely suggest that section over the upper. Upper seemed to be much much more crowded, smaller sites, closer together, etc. The pictures on the website I think are very deceiving and make the upper part look much nicer and spacious than it really is.

My New Truck: '02 F350 7.3L.

So I posted last week asking for advice on a '01 F350 w/ 142K miles. Same dealer ended up having an '02 F350 Lariat SuperCrew with only 48K miles on it. Fell in love with it and brought it home. It looks like it just rolled off the assembly line, not a scratch on it, other than one small nickel sized dent in the hood.
I'm sure I overpaid for it (traded an '06 F150 supercrew w/ 69K miles +$9500) but I feel like I've got a truck that will last me a long, long time now to pull our travel trailer around. The F150 did ok, but there was something wrong with that truck. It was losing power and had it to 3 different shops and they couldn't find anything wrong. Was afraid to go another season.
Can't wait for our first trip now. Thanks to all of you that replied to my earlier post asking about what to be looking for. It helped out.

RE: 2001 F350 7.3L

Thanks Again. I just learned the same dealer has a one owner, '02 F350 7.3L w/ only 48K miles. Definitely gonna be checking that one out too! Looks like it just rolled off the assembly line.

2001 F350 7.3L

Looking at a '01 F350 7.3L with 142K miles.
Any watchouts I need to be aware of? It's had the same owner for its last 100K miles. The asking price is $14K.
I currently pull a 7200# loaded trailer w/ an '06 F150. It does "OK" but it's starting to get tired. I know I don't NEED a F350 for that trailer, but it seems like a clean truck and decent price. Plus I'll have it for when we upgrade trailers someday.
thoughts?

RE: reese dual cam

I've had this happen twice but on the passenger side. Both times it happened I had the chains on 4 links instead of 5. The only two times I did that and both times it bent the bracket your describing. Might be something to consider. Maybe the hitch height is a tad different on the F250 and its putting more stress on the chains???
I'm no expert, just offering observations from my own experience.
