RE: 10 Worst States for Retirement!

I love you, California, you're the greatest state of all.
I love you in the winter, summer, spring and in the fall.
I love your fertile valleys; your dear mountains I adore.
I love your grand old ocean and I love her rugged shore.
I love your red-wood forests - love your fields of yellow grain.
I love your summer breezes and I love your winter rain.
I love you, land of flowers; land of honey, fruit and wine.
I love you, California; you have won this heart of mine.
I love your old gray Missions - love your vineyards stretching far.
I love you, California, with your Golden Gate ajar.
I love your purple sun-sets, love your skies of azure blue.
I love you, California; I just can't help loving you.
I love you, Catalina, you are very dear to me.
I love you, Tamalpais, and I love Yosemite.
I love you, Land of Sunshine, Half your beauties are untold.
I loved you in my childhood, and I'll love you when I'm old.

RE: LED bulbs

I have bought mine from a seller on Ebay and have had very good luck, cheap and dependable.
But no one has of yet told you where to go..Ebay has 729,887 listings if you have the time to look at all of them.... I have used this vendor as has many others here on the NET with great success.
LED VENDOR
He has many styles but I used the one that is on the top of the page,I have made more than one purchase from him and was pleased with the product and service I replaced ALL of my lights with them.
Hope this helps
I replaced all my lights with these LEDs from ebay, make sure and get Color Temperature :3000~3500K (warm tone) as the whites are almost a unpleasant blue tone...

RE: Buying first FW, A/C choices

Thanks all! Two A/C units will be in our future fiver as well as the tire upgrade as needed. A couple on the list are smaller units with 15's, but most are larger units and come with the 16 E's it appears....so requesting LT's in stead may be a good idea from what I've read already.
Again thanks for these great responses......I'll be back to the forum again soon I'm sure....lot's of Q's floating in my head and I've got until about September to explore various units and manufacturers.

Best tires

Looking to replace my Michelin LT275/65 R18 tires that have 26 K miles on them and are 3 1/2 years old. They are badly weather cracked, tread is more than half gone. When I first bought them they would wander all over the road, after posting this on RV.net I was told to experiment with air pressure, which I did and got them to handle much better. Anyway they are making me nervous about towing our 5th on a trip at the end of this month. My TV is a 06 Ford PS 350 with 52 K miles. I always thought that Michelin Tires were the best, however that is not the case as far as these tires are concerned. Any good advise would be appreciated.

I have the champion 2000i and used it this summer. Its almost as quiet as a Honda, but at half the cost. It has not caused me any problems, starts easy and does what it's suppose to do...

RE: Sway Control for a 5ver

I would think a short TT would pull fine, however we had a 34 ft Aljo TT and it scared the h.. out of me. After spending hours on my hitch set up without much luck we decided to get a 5th wheel. I can't tell you how much better it tows. Just sit back and enjoy the ride...

RE: Special alert for California RV'ers

For some reason I took the endorsement test only, did not have to take the CDL or Motorcycle. My CDL is about two years old. I was ready for all the tests and was happy that I didn't have to....
If you had a CDL why would you have to take an additional test? The CA DMV website says a CDL covers any combination of vehicles? I am just asking?
Sorry I ment Califoria drivers lic, not commercial....

RE: Changes in RVing from 5 years ago

The biggest change I notice, other than cost, is the use of LED lights. This has cut my use of electricity way down when camping off grid and allows much less generator usage for recharging the battery.

RE: pull down shade for door

They make a pre-cut removable cover for that. Which actually will keep the heat out.
You can find it any camp ground store.

RE: What To Look For In 2nd RV?

The first thing I would do is decide what Tow vehicle your going to get, then match that up with a TT of your choice.
