We can't get there until October 14-15-16 - was interested in the balloon festival, but it will have to wait for another time. Was able to get an RV site though for those dates, confirmed also. Am interested also in the weather, etc.

Great event. We did one of the morning assentions and one of the evening afterglows. Thoroughly enjoyed both. Last year we stayed west of town in a very nice park, but we heard that they had a lot a space available at the balloon fest rv facilities. While not convenient, you could probably also commute there from Santa Fe (which is a neat place as well).

If everything is full you might give this place a call, El Rancho Mobile Home/Rv Park. 505-266-1455. It's an older park right outside the Wyoming gate of the air force base but they do allow overnighters. It's full hook ups, paved streets, trees but all the sites are back ins. I think it's $20 a night which is a steal in town. They are located off I-40 on the east side and close to Winrock mall where you can catch a shuttle to the Fiesta events. Walmart, Sams, Costco and plenty of places to eat are nearby.

The weather so far has been great!!! High 80s for the daytime and 60s at night. Of course the days are sunny

Sunday the 5th is dedicated to veterans with special things going on for that. My favorites are the special shapes glowing or flying but they all are beautiful to see flying overhead.

ENJOY!!!!
