Let's start a thread with recipes that have booze in them. I keep seeing them scattered here and there and I would like to consolidate please. Here's my addition (do I get extra points b/c mine includes fire, too?):

Bourbon-Pecan Pumpkin Pie

3 Egg; slightly beaten
16 oz Pumpkin, canned
3/4 c Sugar, brown
1 1/2 c Half & half
3 T Bourbon
1 ts Cinnamon, ground
1/2 ts Ginger powder
1/4 ts Salt
1 Pie shell, 9", unbaked
2 T Butter
1/4 c Sugar, brown
1 c Pecan halves
1/4 c Bourbon; divided

Combine eggs, pumpkin, 3/4 cup sugar, half-and-half, 3 tablespoons
bourbon, cinnamon, ginger, and salt; mix well. Pour mixture into the pie shell; bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350, and bake an additional 45 minutes or until set. Set aside to cool.

Combine butter and 1/4 cup brown sugar in a saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolved. Add pecans and 2 tablespoons bourbon, stirring to coat. Spoon mixture over the pie.

Heat the remaining bourbon in a saucepan just long enough to produce fumes (do not boil); remove from heat, ignite, and pour over pie.

Serve pie when flames die down.

Cheers!

Beer bread.. I can of cheap beer. 3 cups of all purpose flour, 2/3 of a cup of granulated sugar.. combine in bowl. place dough in greased bread pan and bake. at 350 degrees til browned. Is easy and has a nice rich flavor.. is best warm and buttered.

Lets camp, and might as well do a little offroading while we are at it.

I honestly believe that I could just waller in this bourban pecan pumpkin pie. I will have one baked by dinner tomorrow. Even though I am diabetic, I still bake for my husband and usually have just a bite, then i'll just leave the rest of it alone. This just sounds like a slice of heaven. Thanks for sharing-----

Jack Daniels grill glaze like at TGI Fridays is real good. Its on the Top Secret Recipes site. A pretty good copycat recipe place.

We usually have a batch in the fridge. Its an apply at the last minute sauce if you want one and a good dipping sauce too.

I put JAck DAniels in my baked beans. Somewhere i posted a recipe here for New ENgland baked beans-- not BBQ'd or spiced with cinnamon/cloves, but rich, smoky baked beans, and I love the Jack Daniels in it.

Berries Foster:

1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 oz blackberry brandy
1 cup blackberries (or any sweet, soft fruit)
Ice cream

Melt butter and sugar in a pan, low heat.
Add fruit
Add brandy and light. (duck!)
Let carmelize for about two min.
Pour over vanilla ice cream.

My wife loves this stuff, and I get to have a short campfire on the stove. Thomas
