They are going to replace my touch pad in the shed.It took several calls after I waited 4 weeks to hear from them.Because I live in the sticks, they said there wasn't a repair place near and the supervisor would get back with me.Two weeks later I called again and got the same song and dance.Told them I had the part already and needed someone to install it.Gave me another number to call, this number talked for a while and gave me a number to call.I told them whole it that was the number that had me call them. This was one of Maytags(WHo is covering the work) home offices.Lady says you'r just 30 miles from here. She called 2-3 repair shops that do this work and made me an appointment. If I had set waiting on the Samsung people I'd still be waiting. But they will come to your place if you make them, and their the ones that messed up anyway .

Here I go again. The repair man was to be at my house between 9 and 12 yesterday. At 12:30 called Maytag to see what was going on.Lady called the repair shop and than told me that the shop decided that they didn't want to do my job because I lived to far out of the way.Maytag did find me another repair man who is suspose to be here Thursday.I talked to this mans wife my self and I think they will be here.If I had power in the Maytag chain, the world would have one less Maytag Repair Man .

After reading this post, I checked mine and sure enough it was a bad one. I called the number given and the process started. I work long hrs. And my wife does too so I had to arrange to have this repair done at home on Saturday. No Problem. The repair man showed up on time and was very polite. All I needed to do was have power available to the camper for him. The whole thing took about 20 min to repair.
I would like to thank Samsung and Maytag for their part in this.
I only wished RV dealers and manufactures were so accommodating

Just bought our unit...had a bad Samsung Microwave called Samsung, via 3 different 800 numbers and finale got the right person... 2nd guy I talked to said mine wasn't affected, yet web page and automated phone said it was... So they are sending the parts to a local company who will come to the house to do the swap... My dealer didn't know about this!!! Nice.

Yesterday I received two letters from Samsung, one letter in English and one letter in French. I have checked my microwave and it is not part of the recall.

My Samsung microwave was part of the recall and I took it in for service. Apparently the problem has to do with a bad keypad. I never experienced any problems with it previous to the recall and hopefully I don't have to worry about it again. I have a 2001 KZ, Inc. Sportmen Sportster 35 5th wheel.

Hello all,
Thanks for all of the good info on the microwave.....I called the 1-800 number my dealer gave me and everything is set for the "maytag" guy to come to my location and make the repair.
Now we are looking forward to spring and hitting the road to the campgrounds.

My Microwave is part of the recall, and it did catch on fire, when no one was in the fiver, and the whole camper smells awful. I have called the 800 number in the recall, and got a message, my dealer does not know anything about this, and Samsung just told me to find a Samsung repair service in the yellow pages. We have not recieved any notices other than the seeing the recall in the Good Sam Newsletter. Went to an RV show yesterday in Syracuse NY, and several used fivers still had the microwaves in them, and not one dealer that I talked to knew of the recall. NICE.....I am still working on trying to get mine replaced.
