We are looking for a nice, clean campground - away from the casinos - one which will accomodate our new 32' MH. We'll be spending our very first week of camping since we took possession of our 2004 Allegro.
Also, we'll want full hookups.
We are going to be in LV the week of Dec. 15, and would very much appreciate your recommendations.
We always stay out a Boulder City. there are 2 parks in town. Boulder Oaks is very nice, and the park out at Lake Mead NRA is my favorite because of the view. It is only a short drive to the strip.

Vegas has a couple nice RV parks. The Destiny Oasis which someone mentioned, and the KOA at the Silverton Casino. Both RV parks are in the same basic location, which is a few miles south of the heart of Vegas, at I-15 and the Blue Diamond off ramp. I have driven through the Oasis a couple times and it seems like a nice place. Haven't stayed there though. We have stayed at the KOA by Silverton a few times, and we've found it to be a good place. Although it's near a Casino, it's actually across the street from it, so when you're there it doesn't seem like you're in amongst the Casinos. It's not like you're downtown, and the Silverton Casino across the street has a rustic look to it. If you don't mind being 45 minutes away from Vegas, the best RV park I've seen in the general area is "Terrible's Lakeside" RV park in Pahrump, NV. We stayed there once for a week and it was great. Pahrump is about 45 minutes west of Las Vegas, taking the Blue Diamond off-ramp also. Hope this helps. - DW

For peace and quiet and easy access back to the highway, we suggest the Las Vegas International Resort off the Boulder Highway in Henderson. It's several blocks off the highway and across from a big soccer field that only used a couple nights a week usually on weekends. It's a new park with nice club house, pool, instant phones, paved pads, a bit close together but not too much. Good place to take your break in trip.
You might want to check http://www.rvparkreviews.com for write ups on the parks mentioned to help you make your decision.
Go on-line and check out the Outdoor Resorts of America site. We're going to stay there in March. We stayed at one of their parks in Newport Oregon and loved it. It's off the strip, full hookups and new. It only allows motorhomes.
The one we stayed at in Oregon had very nice, level concrete pads, grass between each site with LOTS of room.
If you find it on-line, I think you'll like it.

Enjoy your trip and be sure to take pen and paper to write down all those annoying little things you find need to be fixed by the dealer when you return.

Oasis. It is not apart of the Destiny Resort system any longer, but it is on the far South end of the strip away from any of the hustle and bustle of the strip Casino area. Just a great RV Resort. See RV Park Reviews.com for reviews. Good luck!

I agree about Outdoor Resorts. I had forgotten they have a Vegas location for Motorcoaches only. We stayed at their Temecula (Aguanga) property and loved it!
