Excuse my ignorance but I've never heard of a "Boston" Butt. Is there another name for a similar cut?

The recipe sounds good.

Thanks.

A Boston Butt..or pork roast, whatever you choose to call it, is in fact the meaty end of a pork shoulder.

OH camper,
A Boston Butt Roast is a pork front shoulder roast with the shoulder blade still in. I don't know why it is called "Boston" but, the butt means that it is from the butt end (top) of the entire front shoulder. The next cut lower is the Picnic Ham. The smoked Picnic Ham is great for seasoning but not much good for sandwich slices. They also make good roasts when you get the FRESH picnic ham. That's what Pappy learned me.

Thanks for the great and simple recipe. And thanks for clarifying the "Boston" part of butt. It's interesting all the different types of cuts and their names. I guess I'm still learning.
