Anybody got a good guacamole recipe? I've read and tried a number of published recipes. Most were pretty bland. Anybody got a really good recipe?

My husband make the best guac because it's simple!

Lots of avocados, a scoop of sour cream - just enough to combine with the avocados to make a thick paste. Add a dash of garlic powder and onion salt to taste. That's it!

Two avacados, 1 small finely diced white onion, 2 diced jalapenos, 1 small diced tomato. Mix well, add a squirt of lime juice and sprinkle with cayenne pepper and salt to taste. Makes enough for 1 to 2 for a snack

Mash Avacados- add finely chopped Onions, tomato, salt and if you like hot and spicy like we do I add some of my homemade green chile salsa. Or you can use bottled salsa. All is added to your taste. If you make it too spicy you can add lime juice to cut the spicyness.

I make my green chile salsa with jalapeno peppers, serrano peppers, tomato (fresh if in season or canned is OK),fresh cilantro(coriandor) and salt. Add all ingredients to blender or food processor. Again add as many peppers as you like. Enjoy

Way easy & I always get complements: Mashed avocado(s), garlic salt to taste, about 2 Tablespoons of mild green taco sauce for each avocado used.

Variation: use medium or hot green sauce if you like spicy.
Before the children came along, I also put about 1/4 diced brown/spanish onion in for every 2 avocados. Don't know why the little devils never acquired a taste for onions. Now they are grown and I can add the onion (when I think of it!)...

I get avocados cheap in Mexico so I make Guacamole often.
4 medium avocados mashed thoroughly with a fork
1/4 medium onion per avocado (diced)
1 humped Tablespoon mayo per avocado
1 jalepeno pepper per avocado (diced)
1/2 head crisp iceburg lettuce (finely diced)
salt to taste

Mix it all together and chill covered if you have any left. I only eat it as a dip with corn tortilla chips. I add a little lemon juice only if it starts to turn black but it seldom lasts that long.

My favorite way of doing it is;

2 Avacados
1/2 cup sour cream ( mexican creme fresh) if you can find it.
juice of one lemon or lime
salt
pepper
2 Chipotle peppers in Adobo Sauce.

Put all the above into a food processor and pulse until to you consistancy you prefer.

enjoy

2 ripe avocados
a couple of tablespoons of fresh cilantro, chopped
2 or 3 green onions, just green part, chopped fine
juice of 1 lime (fresh, not the bottled stuff)
salt and pepper
small fresh tomato, peeled, seeded, chopped fine
small hot pepper, seeded, chopped fine if you like heat

mash all together. i think the lime and cliantro is the key.
