When I saw the Coconut Cream Pie recipe that makes its own crust it reminded me of the cobbler recipe I use that does the same thing!

Easy Cobbler

Melt 1 cube of margerine and pour into an 8x11 glass dish.

Batter- (Mix Together)
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup milk
pinch of salt

Pour Batter over melted margerine and add 3 cups of sweetned fruit (Just pour fruit on top of batter).
Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle over top of fruit.
Bake 35 minutes in 350 degree oven or until crust is golden.

This is really easy and tasty!

I can vouch for this cobbler, but thanks for a smaller sized recipe. Mine was big enough to feed a big bunch.

A "stick" of butter or margerine is a cube. It's the kind that comes 2-4 in a box wrapped in waxy paper. I know that most of us buy our margerine in tubs now, so its not a stupid ?? Also I believe 1 cube is equal to 1/2 cup. So you can measure it out that way. Does that clear it up for you?

an even easier way is remember 1
1 cup self rising flour. 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk and 1 stick butter or margarine,1 can of your favorite fruit or pie filling
mix together sugar, flour and milk,
melt butter in a cassarole dish
after melting the margarine add your favorite topping and then add the flour sugar milk mixture, DO NOT STIR, bake at 375 degrees for about 55 minutes or until top is lightly browned.
mmm mmm good and so easy
