I'd like some good recipes for cooking up a batch of shrimp. Thanks!

For BBQ'ing, I recommend marinating some shrimps with a little oil and Old Bay Seasoning. Then stick them on a stick and BBQ! Agnes

#1 Clean and skewer Large Shrimp

Gill over fire, brushing with garlic butter.

Very simple, but very good.

#2 Clean large shrimp and marinate in FAT FREE Italian dressing, then grill.

Fat free Italian dressing doesn't burn like an oil base dressing.

Happy cooking.

No cooking involved here!

Shrimp Dip

2 (3 oz) pkg. of cream cheese
1 cup chopped green onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup mayonnaise
1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
2 Tbl Knox gelatin, dissolved in 6 Tbl of water
1 can of tiny shrimp, drained

Heat soup, pour into large mixing bowl, add gelatin, mix well, add all other ingredients, mixing well. Pour into a molded dish and refrigerate for several hours. Unmold and serve with crackers.

Hey ditto, good responses you've gotten here. I like to go to Costco's on Friday when they have shellfish day and get a big batch of those humongo tiger shrimps for 7.99 a pound. I really won't buy anything except tiger shrimp anymore because I'm just too lazy to deal with the poo poo (some call it a vein) that you have to clean out in smaller shrimp. I have no idea why tiger shrimps rarely have a vein but I'll just go with it!
Anyway, what I usually do is just throw them with the shells on in a pot of boiling water with a beer, some old bay seasoning, and mustard seeds. No matter how you cook your shrimp please don't overcook. All it takes is until the shell is bright pink! Even with the tiger shrimp that's only about 1.5 to 2 minutes tops! So flavorful and perfect!!! I serve this along with a salad and some self made cocktail sauce. I used to buy cocktail sauce but why when it's so simple!? Just some catsup, horseradish out of the bottle, lemon or lime juice, and that is it. My husband likes a dash of nutmeg in his. It's different, but good, so what the heck. I don't go too much for shrimp on the grill unless it's a very controlled flame and not in direct fire. The bacon post idea is good but I like my scallops wrapped with bacon better. In fact, we had scallops sauteed in a little bacon fat tonight. OMG! So good! Okay, let's face it, anything wrapped in bacon is good. But I still like my big ole tiger shrimp boiled in seasonings because it's so easy and tasty. Yum Yum.
