I'm looking for some new rubs & ways to make drunk'en chicken.Right now I use about 1/2 can of bud w/some quartered onions in the can & rub the chicken down inside & out w/a rub made out of brown sugar, cayane, chili powder, etc.I was told you can use coke, has anyone tried that, its suppose to have a sweetier BQ taste?

Yep, we make "Drunk'en chicken" frequently, when we camp. We've done it with 1/2 a can of Miller Lite, and another time with 1/2 a can of Coke. Can't say as I could really tell any difference, in the taste. It was great, either way.

We had drunkin' chuck on Sunday night! I used good Canadian beer though
I rub skin with olive oil, then some garlic powder, onion salt, Montreal Steak Spice, Cayenne & seasoning salt.
I haven't tried it with any 'sweet' ingredients such as the brown sugar or coke though. Don't think I could do it after being on lo carb for 1 1/2 years, the sugars just don't do me.

I have tried Coke, Black cherry soda, no difference in taste. Just the beer, rub down the chicken with poultry seasoning that is all I use.
