Finally got her loaded onto the new truck, 2012 3500 Silverado with Duramax Allison. So far she handles the new camper like a dream... and I am not over weight anymore!
Loaded with water 11,287 lbs, My GVWR is 11500

picked up my new camper on thursday was out camping friday, this is my fourth camper i started off with a 1976 cascade 8 footer, that had more leaks then the titanic,
then i got a 1979 vangaurd 8 foot then a 1996 coachmen 9.5 Sport
Currently i have a new rig which is gonna be my longtime rig i hope

Here's our camper the first night we picked it up in Bend Oregon.
Here it is the same weekend at McCubbins Gulch OHV area near Mt. Hood.

Ok I am new to the forum and new to RVing especially truck camping.
I love vintage RV's and we lucked out on this camper, it is a 1971 Cobra Metropolitan model. It was kept indoors all but 5 years of the last 41 and is in great condition for it's age. we plan to do some painting inside and probably rewire it, and replumb as well at some point. Just brought it home on Sunday and Hubby hurt himself so done little so far even in evaluating it but I expect to have good times in it.
