I am planning a trip this fall to the Wisconsin Dells area of Wisconsin. Have any of you any suggestions, good or bad on the campgrounds in that general area???? Appreciate the comments.
HAPPY CAMPING.

Devels Lake SP, in Baraboo, Rocky Arbor SP , just N of the Dells. Mirror Lake SP S/W of the Dells. Expect all campgrounds to be full every weekend, due to Fall colors.

I agree with the state parks. If you like private, try Sherwood Forest. You can walk to downtown from the campground. Enjoy your stay!

Having just spent a week there....

Yogi Bear .... Definately NOT! Not a bad campground, but WAY overpriced for how it's kept up and maintained. Not much of the $$ goes back into the campground facilities or staff.

Baraboo Hills... Very nice, private, family run, good value, good pool, lots of trees....

IF we go back to the Dells, we would go back to Baraboo Hills.

Our favorite is Holiday Shores, right on the river about 5 miles north of town. Beautiful area and sunsets - pristine bathrooms and facilities. It would be wonderful in the fall!

I'd avoid Country Roads RV park unless you are:

1) Use geratol
2) A snob looking for other snobs
3) Don't mind being lied to by management
