Circumstances have fated us to return to Sacramento indefinitely and we plan to continue to live in our 5th wheel. We are searching, without much luck, for a long term space rental, either in a park or on private property. We are over 55, and have a well behaved, but large, labrador retreiver.
We've contacted many mobile home parks, but none will take us with the dog. If anyone lives in the area or knows of a place we should check out we'd be most appreciative. We are currently staying at the army depot in Manteca, but we can't stay there longer than 30 days.
We'd love to find a place in the country and rent an RV pad from someone who has one that's not being used. Any ideas?

Thanks for all the replies. We have found a great site at Oak Haven RV Park on Auburn Blvd. It is an over 55 all RV park, has large, shady sites with lawn between, concrete patios and gravel pads. They rent daily or monthly. It would be a great spot to stay for a few nights or a month or more if you're going to be in the Sacramento area...much nicer than West Sac KOA and not all asphalt like Cal Expo.
Don't know what part of Sacramento you need to be nearest or how far you're willing to drive, but there are some KOAs to consider.
Placerville KOA (Which is actually in Shingle Springs roughly an hour east of Sacramento.) We go there sometimes for a quick getaway weekend. It's in the country and they do have people living in their park.
Auburn KOA (Roughly an hour Northeast of Sacramento) The last Time we stayed there, I believe there were some trailers 'staying' there.
Sacramento KOA (West Sacramento) Closest to Sacramento itself. I have never stayed there, but I've heard it wasn't that good. You'd have to check it out.
Yes, we are at Sharpe Army Depot. This is our third stay here. We too like it a lot and especially because we can run the dog. Sure wish they didn't close the pool on Labor Day though because it's still HOT here.
