I found this in my files and thought it might be good for those who would like to pay tribute to California's earthquakes. I haven't tryed this. Even though I'm a Baker, I'm not really a "baker". It does look good anyway.

Earthquake Cake

1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup coconut
1 German Chocolate Cake Mix
1/2 cup margarine
8 oz cream cheese, softened
3 1/2 (1 lb) powdered sugar

Grease 9x13 cake pan. Cover bottom of pan with nuts and coconut. Mix cake as directed on package. Pour cake batter over nuts and coconut. Mix margarine and cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix well. Spoon over the cake batter. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Cool completely.

Turn upside down on plates

We had another one this afternoon just east of Bakersfield. It was a 5.0 on the Richter.
