Piggy Pudding

1 package of brown and serve sausage
2 or 3 apples cut up
1 batch of cornbread adding 1 tablespoon sugar

brown sausage and put in a large casserole dish
add cut up apples and stir up.

then mix up a batch of corn bread mix adding 1 tablespoon sugar and pour over this mixture

bake in 400 degree oven for about 20 to 25 minutes until corn bread is done.

Saw this on the cooking channel and it sure is good!

123Herewego,

This sounds GREAT! I wonder, too, how it would work with bratwurst? We make a mean Mexican cornbread that ought to work with chorizo in it, too. The possibilities are almost endless: can't you imagine a Polish kielbasa/sauerkraut/cornbread mix?! Thanks for the idea!

I sampled a similar dish at a campground potluck--made with thin cut pork chops. Very tasty.
