My camera was doing the same thing and I found a good rap on the monitor would fix the loose connection

Try spreading the pins on the connection, worked for me.

i used to rap the monitor but after a while that didnt do it anymore.
To get back to my battery problem. GOt my converter in yesterday. Everything looked fine. I had output 13.7v and my panels all worked great. It looked like it was charging the batteries but when i check this monring and unplugged the coach. the lighst would flicker fo a sec and then go out. So, i open the battery compartement and both my nearly new batteries are bulging on the top. Can it be that a bacd converter can ruin your batteries?
Guess ill have to dump more money into it. It just never ends.

Yes, a bad converter can overcharge batts. Only time I saw bulging was when mine froze, which is what took out my converter.
At this point, the converter is new, and the batts are obviously bad now. Are they 6 or 12V? either way, I'd replace batts and hopefully you're all set, as long as the battery control center is working properly.

yeah but i just spent 200 on those batteries not 6 months ago. bummer.

Yup...that blows.
Yesterday a guy plugged into the other outlet on the power post I'm plugged into. Somehow managed to get 230V onto the line...took out my microwave and coffee maker.
One of these days my "todo" mh list will be clean.

So far it's impacted 4 units. One brand new Winnie had 2 VCRs go up in smoke, not sure what else yet.
I put up a separate post about the ordeal. Took out my A/V receiver too.
Not fun.

PS. What would it take to go 12v instead of the 6v batteries. Is it even advisable?

Man, I am sorry to hear that. Are there surge protectors for this kind of event? I think they are pricey though, right?
