Well to me their "fifteen minutes of fame" was over fourteen minutes after he was awarded the million and then proposed to her. Enough already!

.....ok..forget the war in iraq....i happened to see one of the shows on the "great Race" one night,,one of the other couples rolled their car over, and the couple "rob & amber" never even considered stopping to see if anyone got hurt...they just whizzed past....so, my point is(and i dont really care) is WHY does the public seem to care SO much for the LUCKY self-centered couple...i guess i dont like the me-me me generation..ok..u can FLAME me now.

Keet...as far as your remark regarding Iraq, that is unfair too, there is NOTHING on television that you can compare that with.

....well..what can i say?...i guess a lot of folks in here think the fantasy wedding takes prioity over people suffering, people going without, people that are homeless...(here in THIS country)...my annoyance isnt only relative to rob and amber, but to the fact that WRETCHED EXCESS is condoned while many people never get a break...I wonder how much $$$ rob and amber got from the CBS program execs for their wedding?....im sure the RATINGS made them a bit wealthier...o i forgot..its ENTERTAINMENT...duh....

People have been suffering, starving and dying for ever. What's that got to do with T.V. and entertainment? Is'nt that why people go to the movies, read or watch t.v., to escape and for the entertainment? I don't feel that folks should waste their time resenting what other people do for entertainment or relaxation. I did not watch the show, but I do watch shows that some here call garbage and a waste..So what? I still do not feel that because someone only watches The Discover or History channel or news, that makes them better people. Some of those folks sound a little unhappy, resentful and grumpy to me...Barb

Wow...sounds like a lot of jealous people out there.
I watched it and found it interesting. I dont judge people for how they acted in a game environment. I would have acted the same way if thts what I had to do to win. Competition effects everyone differently.
Last night you got a chance to see them in their own homes, with their own friends. I thought both Rob and Amber seemed like decent people. Also, dont forget before both were regular blue collar people. It's not like all of this happened to someone who was already wealthy. The money they won on Survivor isnt a lifetime supply and both will still have to work. How long do you think 1 mil. will last for young couple? I am glad they won all the trips on the Race and got the free wedding.
I say good for them.
Some of you people would complain if you were going to get hanged with a brand new rope!!!
