This is my first try (I think, been lurking here for a long long time) posting out here, hopefully it works out ok!
Took my 8 y/o with me on a motorcycle trip to Rolling Thunder in Washington DC last Memorial Day, on the way home we stopped in Cape May, NJ for the Flag Ceremony at Sunset Beach. What an amazing experience. This is Molly, a blind and deaf dog we met at the beach. She liked my son!

I hope this worked! More pictures to come soon

This is why they call it Sunset Beach! If you are ever nearby, I highly recommend stopping in.

I know there are several viewers of the forum who like Lighthouses. This is Cape May Light

This is a local resident of Cape May Beach, the picture does not do justice to just how big this guy was!

I have a million pictures from Rolling Thunder, these are just a couple I thought stood out as I glanced through them this morning.
Each year there is a Semi Truck painted in honor of our countries POW/MIA's, this is one of those trucks

The deck cover:

My son took this picture as we rode down Constitution Ave towards the Capitol Building! What an awesome sight!

And my last post for this morning, I've been to Washington DC a number of times in my life and I have never seen this, and I really tend to doubt that I will ever see it again. The reflecting pool at the Lincoln Memorial is being refurbished and had been empty for some time at this point. Here are the two pictures I have of it:

Hope you enjoyed the pics, I'll be sure to put more up soon. I am cleaning off 4 old desktop computers and trying to move all our family photo's to one safe location so I can do a back up of them. I'd love to share some more photos as I do that. I'm not a pro by any means, all my photos are taken with a point and shoot, and many are taken by one of my two sons (9 and 10 right now).
Happy New Year and lets see some more great photos!

I misspoke, I do have one more post I'd like to put up that is important to me.
This photo was taken at Ground Zero in NY on Sept 8, 2007. There is an annual motorcycle ride from Hopkinton, MA to Ground Zero in memory of those who lost their lives on 9-11. All the money raised for the ride is given to a Charity that supports the families of those who dies that day.
This is the "Ground Zero Cross", it's very moving to me in photo, and even more so in person. It has since been removed from where this photo was taken and will be relocated inside the 9-11 Museum at Ground Zero.

This is a close up of the plate welded on to the Cross.

I'm fairly sure this is it for today! I found these pics of the 2011 Remember 9-11 Ride and thought I would share them with you.
This was a great ride, we had been told leading up to it that because the Presidents (Obama, Bush, and Bush Jr.) were going to be there the next day Security was not going to allow us to get down to the site. This was ok with us, we were there for the cause more than anything else. Well, the last minute check in with NYPD before we rolled out had a suprise for us. Not only would we get down to Ground Zero, we would have a moment of silence there! This was very uplifting news to those of us who have done this ride for many years. A few pictures from this years ride. Many more to come in the coming days.
This was the bike that would lead our ride. The owner is a Fire Fighter from Massachusetts and he built the trailer himself, including working strobe lights and siren. It is pretty awesome!

This is my friend Frank (left) and myself (right) holding the American Legion Riders flag in front of the Greenwich CT Ladder Truck. The Greenwich FD hosts our group every year

Rolling down the highway into NYC!

Coming down West St approaching Ground Zero

One World Trade Center. You have to stretch your neck back to see the top! I can't wait till next year, I am thinking the exterior finished by then.

It had been a beautiful sunny morning when we left for Ground Zero. As we approached, maybe the last 1/2 mile to 3/4 of a mile it started to rain on us. The rain stopped when we reached Ground Zero and for the entire 5 minutes or so we were there. As we started to ride out of the site it started to rain these HUGE rain drops on us. As you leave from West St you go through a tunnel, it was raining pretty good when we went into the tunnel, and when we came out the other side the sun was out and the sky was blue! Talk about getting some goose bumps! It was amazing! I hope you enjoyed looking at the photos and don't mind my story telling, I tend to ramble on if you hadn't noticed yet!

Are you saying I look like a baby boy here?!? (you wouldn't be the 1st) or are you saying you could be the guy in the Santa suit ?? (which I don't believe is possible).
